Ewan looked at the book happily, cracking it open to flip through a few pages. It was a travel guide for parts of Elona long since forgotten. He’d paid handsomely for the copy Evelynn found him in the Priory. The wages he was making from the Castillo family ensured that he could afford it.

He hurried to her study, wrapping the book in a dark pink ribbon. When she untied it, magical butterflies would hover for a moment along with the scent of jasmine. Lord Castillo was keeping him busy, though, so he couldn’t hover long. Ewan just hoped Isidora would return from her errand for her wayward staff soon. He missed her already.
