Okay, first off, I'm saying all this with no knowledge of this actual spesific story but...

Damian doesn't do it because he loves being batman. He does it for redemption. He's done some bad things in his life, and despite the fact that he was a child and spent his life repenting, he doesn't think it's enough.

Only eternity of doing his best could ever make up for a fraction of the pain he's caused.

On top of that, he sold his soul because he didn't see its worth anymore. What good is a soul that's taken so many?

Wdym there's a storyline that Damian sold his soul to always be alive to save Gotham???

What's going on up there Dami....? Cause I know it's not sensible thoughts...

Don't jump me but I believe it would have been wayyyy better to constantly use the Lazarus Pit than to sell your soul.

No one can convince me that Damian loves being Batman THAT much.
