Time to start with the ‘#hfth october prompts 2022′ Today’s prompt is ‘Spiders Tombs Spirits’. I decided to try my hands on something pretty new to me and did some poetry, enjoy :D
Upon a tombstone walks a spider One leg, two leg, three leg, four leg - all that once, and all that twice.
Over the grave a child jumps One hop, two hop, three hop, four hop - over once, and over twice.
The spider waves a greeting As good neighbors do The child waves back As polite boys should.
The spider taps a leg and the child takes a leap One leg, two hop, three leg, four hop
They play until the clouds glow up.
The child stops on his resting place for it's his time to go to sleep. The spider waves from upon grey stone and the child waves back from gravely deep.
Tomorrow night they play again A promise now from friend to friend.
As I said, I am new to writing poetry, so any constructive criticism is very welcome! ^^
