High C - Tumblr Posts

None of my friends seem to care, so I'mma tell y'all because I know at least someone will care:

I was listening to PotO, as ya do, and I was looking at the note names for Christine's part of the song Phantom of the Opera. (The note names because I can't actually read sheet music past middle C)

Without properly warming up (obviously I'm not gonna sing without some kind of warm up, but I'm not gonna run a whole drill first thing in the morning), I can hit a High C. It sounds so much better when I do warm up, though.

I always thought that Christine's final note of PotO was a High C. I was wrong. It's an E6.

With this new knowledge, I have yet to actually test my full range again while completely warmed up, but I can confidently say that it's bigger than I thought.

Tldr: My friends don't care, but I can hit a High C and I'm very proud of that (our next step is to get that E6. I can get it sometimes, but I want to be consistent)

This singer has to be heard to be believed. Her name is Carlotta King At the end she hits the highest note(possibly ever recorded!). The picture's fuzzy, but it's still enjoyable. This clip is from The Desert Song and I do not know half of what she's saying.
