wait if Splinter is the new rat king wouldn’t that make the turtles and Karai royalty as well

and then when Shredder killed Splinter, he became the new rat king

but then when Leo killed Shredder, Leo became the new Rat king

would the New York rats follow the new rat king’s command or would a uprising happen that would cause a new plot to happen which leads to a new rat king after they defeat Leo

Remember when Splinter fought and defeated the Rat King in season 2?

I thought of this the other day, but on a technicality Splinter defeating him in a way can be looked at as him dethroning the king of the rats. So… 

Wouldn’t that technically make Splinter the new Rat King???
