There were quite honestly no words known to man nor android nor machine that could even begin to touch upon the depths of Gunner No. 4′s exasperation. Behind his visor, his eye twitches inevitably from both inescapable irritation mixed with disbelief that there was actually someone in existence who could do things stupider than No. 3. Of all the things to do in the heat of the 14th Machine War, well--He doubts that the Instructor’s reckless lover can top this.
“So you’re telling that you, an Operator, with no combat training whatsoever, snuck out of the Bunker because you wanted to see what the world looked like up close.”
Inhaling slowly, he brings a gloved hand up to his nose and massages its bridge. Good god, he’s an android--And somehow, this situation’s giving him the beginnings of what could only be a headache. Shaking his head, the Gunner’s shoulders gradually lowered with the exhale he took. That same hand lowered itself, before extending towards the female android.
“Here, can you stand? I’ll take you to the Instructor, he’ll know what to do.”

Any order that was not followed could become your last attempt at trying anything beyond the rules. Operator 8O was a strange android even among Androids. Emotionless, logical, ruthless at first. However, the more she lived and the more research she had done, the more “emotional” she was becoming despite the term of emotions within non-organic creations was not the same per se. However, the female model was almost dead upon being on Earth. The 14th Machine War was not the time to act on your selfish desires or on your false personal missions. She was not human. She was not someone to have a life and personal desires.
The Android before her, the man who had saved her. Her actions did not have a logical ground. She was acting out of “impulse” and desire to know more. Operators were not supposed to be outside. She had the research and the knowledge stored inside and she had basic knowledge of the possible locations where she could hide, but… She never thought that far away. Her only goal was to see those butterflies… those midnight butterflies. Those white butterflies that carried human souls.
“I…” She wanted to speak out, but it was not possible for her at first. The way his voice sounded made her register that he was certainly not happy. No, she shouldn’t let this stop her from achieving her goals! “Thank you…” 8O finally thanked him and took his hand while standing up. He was right. She didn’t have combat training but she did know how to hide and avoid what must be avoided. Well, she thought she did. There was data, but there were too many things to actually take into consideration. “P-please, don’t send me back yet! I… I must do one thing… even if it means… losing… everything.” She will not be able to escape from him. He was a unit created for battles and fighting. She was nothing but a powerless android that was responsible for information and research.
Of all times for an Operator to find themselves on Earth, it had to be during this period of high activity from the machine lifeforms. No. 4 made a quick mental note to have her checked for any signs of the Logic Virus, perhaps that would justify how stupid what she’d done was. Or maybe he was just trying to wrap his head around why someone, much less a YoRHa unit, would do something this stupid, before rapidly reminding himself that No. 3 existed.
With a swift, strong pull--The young woman would be on her feet, and he nods towards her words of thanks. It was only natural to help a fellow android, no matter how foolish they might be, and this instance is no different. However, as she continues to speak, he could only inhale and wonder if this is how the Instructor felt sometimes.

He’s not as rough as he could be in how he tugs the Operator along, step brisk as he takes into account that there could still be Machines lurking about, possibly snipers in the distance. Without No. 21 to ascertain the area’s safety, it wasn’t a good idea to remain out in the open. In this situation, that fact was incredibly important considering that despite how he could manage to a degree at close range: He was still only a Gunner.
It could prove fatal if they were outnumbered when he’d have to look out for the Operator.
“Use your head. If you die here, you’ll be brought back using back-up data, and nothing that happened here will be remembered. At that rate, it becomes meaningless.”
A silence follows, a pregnant one only occasionally interrupted by the sound of their footsteps. He might as well introduce himself at least, and quietly--He glances back with one small firearm in the hand that isn’t gripping hers, hood still drawn for the time being.
“--YoRHa M Unit. Gunner, No.4. You?”

You don’t have the proper equipment an Operator should have right now, nor are you synced with other Operators to share and analyze information as you’re meant to be, and you clearly don’t have the capacity to make logical decisions if the fact you’re here at all says anything. No. 6 isn’t a unit that you should be alone with at any point in time, the less you know the better.
