Tears and Tulips (Hoseok One-Shot, Angst, Fluff)
You hesitate before knocking on the door. Thereâs music coming from inside, along with several muffled explosions and male voices yelling. Heâll appreciate you coming over, right? After all, you did bring food.
With that thought giving you courage, you rap your knuckles on the door. It takes a couple minutes before it opens to Jimin. His eyes go wide with surprise. âY/n h-hi,â he stutters. âI didnât realize you were invited over.â
You give him a weak smile. âTechnically, Iâm not, but⊠I brought food?â
You held up the bag full of take-out containers, but Jimin still hesitated before stepping aside. âIâll let Hobi hyung know youâre here,â he muttered.
Nodding, you walked inside the apartment, inhaling the distinct scent of pizza and sweaty boys. âYou cheated!â Jungkook shouted, reaching over and playfully punching Taehyung.
âYouâre just mad âcause you suck,â the elder teased. His eyes flickered over to you. âOh. Hey Y/n.â
âHey.â
âDidnât know you were coming over.â
âSo Iâve been told,â you said under your breath, turning to head inside the kitchen.
Jin, Namjoon, and Yoongi were all in there, talking loudly with slurred words. Each one held a cup in their hand filled with liquid you were sure wasnât juice. Jinâs windshield-wiper laugh rang out. âAnd thenâŠâ he gasped, slapping Namjoon on the chest. âAnd then she fucking went, âOh, okay, didnât realize you had such a huge-ââ
Joon nudged Jin, cutting him off, the second he caught sight of you. âY/n!â Namjoon said, his voice too loud, his smile too wide. âWhat a surprise!â
Your pathetically fake smile came back. âHey, guys. Sorry to drop by unannounced⊠But I brought food.â
âWow!â Jin exclaimed as you dropped the bag on the table. âDamn, Y/n, youâre such a good girlfriend. No girl I know would bring me a meal, let alone one for my roommates too.â
He threw you a cheeky wink. âIf you and Hobi donât work out, you should go out with me, âkay?â
You bit your lip and shoved your hands in your hoodie pocket, looking down at the ground as you felt heat rise to your cheeks. You hated when he did this, but you didnât want to start drama with your boyfriendâs friends. You looked up as Jin stepped close, stumbling as he did so, and pressed his hands into your shoulders. âSeriously, I could kiss you for bringing us food,â he mumbled, his words still heavy and slurred. Your mouth fell open as he actually puckered his lips and leaned in towards you.
âThe FUCK!â a voice cried out as a pair of hands reached out and roughly shoved Jin backwards. Hoseok grabbed the front of Jinâs jacket and pressed him against the wall, teeth bared, anger blasting from his dark eyes.
Namjoon and Yoongi, drunk as they were, had a hell of a time wrestling them apart until the younger three came in and helped. Taehyung tugged Jin to the front room and Jungkook held a struggling Hoseok back, pinning his arms behind him. âLET ME GO!â your boyfriend roared.
âENOUGH!â Joon bellowed.
A beat of silence followed his thundering voice, in which all the boys froze and looked at you. You didnât realize you were holding your hands to your mouth until that moment. Slowly, you dropped them to your sides. âIâm⊠Iâm sorry,â you whispered.
âFuck off!â Hoseok growled, shoving Jungkook away.
He grabbed your hand and led you wordlessly to his bedroom, fury rolling off him in waves. You jumped as he slammed the door shut. âWhat. The. Fuck,â he hissed, turning towards you.
You backed away, suddenly feeling a bit frightened. âHobi, Iâm sorry-â
âNo! No more âsorries!â No more making excuses!â he shouted, pointing towards the door. âIâm sick of you all defending him! Heâs been drunk-flirting with you for weeks now, and I am two seconds away from kicking that pretty boyâs ass!â
You held your hands up. âI get it. I do, Hobi, I really do-â
âNo, I donât think you do!â Hoseok ran a hand frustratedly through his dark locks. âWatching him think he can just⊠just have you, like he does every other girl who comes his way is⊠Well, it makes me sick!â
âIt makes me uncomfortable, too, Iâll be honest-â
âThen WHY?!â he roared. âWHY DO YOU PUT UP WITH IT?!â
Your mouth parted open at his words. âWhat am I supposed to do?â you scoffed. âHeâs one of your best friends, and you know Iâm not the type to start shit-â
âWell you certainly let it end in shit, donât you?!â Hoseok spat. His chest heaved as he spoke.
âI donât let anything happen,â you said through clenched teeth. You felt your defensive walls rising and wrapped your fingers into fists, prepping for the inevitable fight. You knew Hoseok wasnât really mad at you, he was just projecting, but you had a terrible day and were completely fed up with his shit.
âYes, you do,â Hoseok growled, stepping towards you. Despite you wanting to stand your ground, you wavered and backed away from him until your back hit the wall. Hoseok pressed his palms into the wall on either side of you, trapping you.
âYou know exactly what you do,â he murmured, his voice low and dangerous. âAlways wearing those skimpy little outfits, showing as much skin as possibleâŠâ
âThose are for YOU!â you yelled, shoving him away. âAnd wearing shorts and the occasional tank top does not make my outfits SKIMPY!â
You stomped to the other side of the room, still shouting as you went. âAnd how do my clothing choices warrant Jin flirting with me?! What, donât have an answer?!â
You whirled around, looking your boyfriend full in the face. âWell, here it is: THEY DONâT!â
Hoseok rolled his eyes and shoved his hands in his pockets, tightening his mouth into a pout. He already knew he was in the wrong for saying that. He was just angry and wanting to blame someone for how hurt he was feeling. You didnât begrudge him that. You did, however, resent the fact that his âsomeoneâ was nearly always you. Your boyfriend could really be a child sometimes when it came to taking responsibility.
After a beat of tense silence, Hoseok snorted. âWhy did you come over tonight, anyway? I told you tonight was guysâ night, Y/n.â
âYeah, I know you did,â you replied impatiently. âBut I hardly ever see you, Hobi. Youâre always at work or dance practice, and I thought since you were home tonight, maybe we could spend at least a little time together.â
âWell, you thought wrong,â he snapped.
Your mouth parted open once more, taken aback. âSeriously? I even brought food for you and the guys! I just wanted to see you!â
Hoseok grabbed his hair with both of his hands, the look in his eyes unhinged. âHave you ever thought that maybe I donât want to see you?!â he shouted. âI mean, god Y/n, you can be so⊠soâŠâ
Your entire body tensed up as you waited for that next word to drop, your eyes widening as tears pricked at them.
âClingy.â
And there it was. The verdict you didnât realize youâd been waiting for. The one word that caused your muscles to unclench and the tears to finally spill over. You angrily swiped at them.
âY-You think Iâm clingy?â you stuttered, taking deep breaths to try and calm yourself. âF-Fine. Then Iâll give you space.â
âY/nâŠâ Hoseok said weakly, his eyes already filling with regret.
âNo!â you said, your voice suddenly strong again. You gulped. âIâll give you as much goddamn space as you want.â
And with that, you whirled and wrenched open the door, running down the hall, through the kitchen, and into the living room. âY/n, please!â Hoseok called after you.
Your breath came out in gasping sobs as you struggled to unlock the door. Someone lay a hand on your shoulder, and you jumped, turning to see Namjoon looking at you. Concern filled his eyes. âY/n, are you okay? I donât think you should-â
You didnât bother letting him finish. You ripped the door open and bolted down the hall, sobbing loudly as you sprinted away from all of the hurt, all of the humiliation, and most importantly, all of him.
The next few days passed in a daze. You barely spoke at your job, causing your coworkers to repeatedly ask you if something was wrong. You shut your phone off, sick of getting texts and phone calls from everyone but him. You spent most of the day sleeping, but at night, you lay awake, tears streaming from your eyes. Nothing could make you feel better, not even your favorite tv shows or movies.
Finally, the weekend came. You were wrapped in a blanket like a burrito, gorging on a gallon-size bucket of ice-cream as you watched your favorite romantic comedy for the umpteenth time. You reached over and chucked a pillow at the screen the two main characters kissed and the credits rolled. âThatâs not how it ends!â you shouted.
You got up and put the ice-cream back in the freezer, dumping the spoon unceremoniously in the sink. Meandering into the bathroom, you splashed some water on your face and stared at your reflection for a moment. Dark circles covered the skin below your eyes, and your hair was a ratsâ nest. You sighed and ran a brush through it, nodding in contentment as it lay at least a little more flat on your head.
You jumped as someone knocked on your door. Who could that be? You shuffled over to the door and pulled it open, eyes widening when you saw who it was. âHey,â his voice said, cracking on the single syllable. Wow, he must be nervous.
âHobi,â you said before shaking your head. âI mean, Hoseok. Whatâre you doing here?â
He shoved his hands in his pockets, giving you a half-hearted smile. âWhaddya mean? I came to see you, of course.â
You looked down at yourself in horror, realizing you were wearing an over-sized t-shirt with several stains on it, leggings covered in cat hair, and⊠had you even showered today? Not to mention the state of your apartment.
Then again, Hoseok looked nearly as bad as you did. He had on a bucket hat over his hair, which meant it was likely unwashed, and you noticed he didnât have a speck of color anywhere in his outfit. He must be really depressed. He also had dark circles under his eyes, and his mouth was turned down in that famous shiot frown.
âCan I come in?â he asked.
âOh, uh, sure.â Fuck it. Let him think your place was messy. You had nothing to hide.
He stepped inside and sat on the couch you were just burritoâd on. He motioned for you to sit, and you did so, pulling your blanket over your legs and facing him. âWhatâs up?â you asked, suddenly nervous.
âI just wanted to sayâŠâ he said, and you braced yourself. He wanted to break up. You just knew it.
â...That I was wrong.â You let out the breath you didnât realize you were holding. His dark eyes roamed over you, filled with guilty remorse, one corner of his mouth turning up in a hopeful smile.
âI was so wrong, baby girl,â he murmured. Tingles shot down your spine.
Hobi earnestly grabbed my hands with his. âYou werenât to blame for any of it.â
You gently took your hands back, not ready to let him off the hook just yet. âYou sure made it out like it was,â you muttered.
Hobi furiously shook his head. âYou werenât. At all. You can wear whatever you want, and it doesnât give anyone, not even me, the right to make a move on you.â
He scooted close, his hands frantically reaching up and stroking my face. âAnd please, baby girl, please believe me when I say this,â he begged. âYou arenât clingy. You can come over whenever you want. I never, ever want you to feel like I donât want you⊠like I donât love you⊠again.â
You bit your lip before turning your face and kissing his palm, tears pricking at your eyes. âI love you too.â
Hoseok let out a sigh, a wide smile forming over his face before he leaned over and pecked you on the lips. âIâm so sorry, baby. Please forgive me?â
âI already have,â you choked out before throwing yourself in his arms.
He peppered your forehead with kisses, letting you sob into his chest. âI know baby, I know,â he murmured, rocking you back and forth. âThese last few days have been hell for me too.â
Once you cried it out, Hobi stood up, got a box of tissues and began wiping and kissing your tears away, the way heâd always done and would always do. âIâll never make you feel like that again,â he promised, his voice determined. âI promise.â
âAnd I promise to put Jin in his place if he ever tries that again,â you replied, tossing him a watery smile.
Hoseok grinned. âYeah, about that. The rest of the guys agreed⊠If he hits on you again, theyâre gonna kick his ass out.â
âNo shit,â you said, slightly taken aback. You werenât too surprised, though. The guys were probably pretty sick of all this drama.
âSpeaking of them,â Hobi said, standing up and holding out a hand to you. âI have a surprise for you.â
You let him pull you upright, dropping the blanket as you stood, and lead you out into the hall. You gasped as you saw all of the guys standing there, each holding a bouquet of different-colored tulips and grinning. âWeâre sorry things got so crazy,â Joon said sincerely. âWe promise it wonât happen again. Right, Jin?â
He playfully wacked Jin right in the stomach, causing him to grunt. âRight,â he wheezed, holding his stomach. âIâm sorry Y/n. I promise Iâll never flirt with you again, no matter how drunk I am.â
âYouâd better not,â you warned, feeling your heart swell.
Each of the guys traipsed into your apartment, setting down the tulips on the kitchen table until it was full of the beautiful flowers. Namjoon dropped off violet ones, Jungkook had purple ones, Taehyung had green ones, Jimin had yellow ones, Jin had pink ones, and Yoongi had maroon ones. Finally, you turned to see Hobi smiling and offering a single, red rose to you. âMy beautiful girl deserves beautiful flowers,â he said. You took the rose and deeply inhaled its scent.
âAwwww,â Taehyung teased. You all laughed and the guys circled around you, wrapping you in the sweetest group hug youâd ever had.
âI love you guys,â you sniffled. âThank you.â
âWe love you. We donât ever want you and Hobi hyung to break up,â Jungkook said, and the others murmured their agreement.
âAlright, thatâs enough,â Hobi said, waving his roommates off. âYou guys gotta get out, sheâs gotta get ready.â
âFor what?â you asked, blinking in surprise.
He waggled his eyebrows mischievously. âFor the best date ever.â
You laughed, then pressed your hands to your mouth, feeling happy tears well up once again as the guys left and shut the door behind them. Hobi clicked his tongue in disapproval. âUh-uh, none of that,â he murmured, drawing your chin up and brushing your lips with his. âYouâve shed enough tears.â
He hugged you tight, and you let him hold you, pressing your face into his chest as you inhaled his familiar, sunshine scent. Even though things had looked completely shitty before, you knew that this was a huge stepping stone in your relationship to bigger and better things. You knew this fight would lead to nothing but happiness, and that in a few weeks, you probably wouldnât even remember what you fought over. You loved Hoseok, and he loved you, and there was nothing else in the world that mattered.

Summary: âI canât loose you because if I loose you I loose myself. Youâre all I have left.â she begged him to put the gun down. Her bloody knees splashed into the mud. Helicopters surrounded them and the sirens were getting closer and closer but she could think about was him. The man whom she fell in love with, standing in front of them. Gun pointed towards his head.
This is a HoseokxOc story but feel free to think of her as y/n. I just didn't want to call her y/n so I used my own character that you'll see in a lot of my stories but her mood and temperment will change in each story.
Warning: A bit of sexual interaction but nothing too much, weapons, skin damage, cursing, DIOR FREAKING HOSEOK. AKA: SUPERIOR HOSEOK.

Hauling Areum away in his arms from the vent into his arms, he opened the window just to see that the cops and dogs were guarding the entire motel, just waiting for them to come back and attack. He had to think and he had to think fast or else theyâll both be dead meat. He looked around and spotted one place where the dogs nor the cops have reached yet. The garbage bin. Of course, it was disgusting but it was the only chance they got.Â
Hoseokâs P.O.V
I sigh as I held Areum close to my chest, thereâs no way that she could be seen by the police or else itâs pretty much over for her and her family. I quickly set Areum down being careful not to to injure her even more than I already did. I had some spare time until the cops could reach this area. Taking my jacket off, I carefully wrapped it on her wounded leg so no infection would begin to grow. I had to get her back home and I had to do it fast. There she could be met with a medic. This all has me wondering if I should just drop her off at the place she belongs and leave her be. All I am is trouble in her life. I am in everybody's and I really dont give a shit. Iâve become my own nightmare that lost itâs mercy ten years ago but when it comes to her. I swear Iâd do anything. Iâve become so selfish and allowed my heart to become enslaved in chains to her love. To her affection. To the way she smiles or the way the moonlight touches her soft skin.Â
Love is tortuous, I feel myself going on a never ending rollercoaster with her. She was the worst thing that ever happened to me but the best thing at the same time. She canât let me go and thatâs the worst part about this relationship because I know at some point sheâs going to have to let me go. Not that I want to go. I want to be her dream man and offer everything she wants that she deserves but not off of blood money. Iâve never thought that one time in my life Iâd be regretting being a mafia lord. Love is powerful.Â
All this goes through my mind as I picked her up once more and jumped into the trash can, where there were a lot of bags. Yes, itâs risky to possibly get stabbed by glass shards or bitten by a rat but it was better than prison. Our landing sound was muffled by the plastic bags. The cops were approaching so I closed the bin and hid myself and Areum to the best of my ability. There happened to be a small hole that I peeped through to see if the cops were going along their way but they werenât. They were just guarding the whole hotel as well as their dogs. We needed a distraction so I picked up a rusted old wrench and while they werent looking aimed it at the highest window that was out of the copâs eyesight, so of course they wouldnât see the wrench. Once the glass broke the cops shouted and ran towards the window, holding their guns up. I took Areum when the coast was clear and silently got out of there, running far away into the woods. Once I was far enough, I slung Areum onto my back and looked into my suitcase for a pager. âI need a car sent to Eastwood Urgently.âÂ
Eastwood was about 5 miles away but it was the only place where I knew to navigate to from here. My pager dings before a man starts to talk âYes sir, it will take us fifteen minutes. Parked in the garage sir.â
âThanks Jungkook. Coming home soon, prepare med for Areum. She got a bog bite...â I looked at Areumâs leg. Lines of slightly opened bloody flesh lined along her legs âAnd a bit of a scratch.â
As I kept walking on the cops were soon long gone or so I think. You never know in this field of work. I had a long ways to go and there was no way Areum could walk on her feet. She wasnât very heavy so I could handle it. Walking through nature was quite nice actually. Itâs not something I usually do. I had to make it to Eastwood before the sun rose because if not I could get caught by someone. I felt Areum shift her head on my back, and soon her hips.
âBaby?â I say to her as she regains her conscious. I went to a tree and sat her down onto the leaves so she could wake up and I could take a small break before we move again.
Areumâs P.O.V
An instant sting shot onto my leg as if somebody took sharp nails and dragged it along on my skin. âAugh!â I whimpered as I reached for the long bloody scratch. I saw that a sweater was wrapped around my bloody wounds. I donât even remembered what happened after being in that vent. All I remember was darkness. âIt hurts.â my voice cracks as my hands tried to rub down the cut to attempt to make it feel better but my attempts only made it worse. I wasnât used to all this. I mean, small scars and such were common but this? My eyes began to water as the pain only got worse. It wouldnât go away. Hoseok knelt towards me, caressing my cheeks. âHey, youâre alright.âÂ
~
Areum felt Hoseokâs heavy breaths as he continued to walk with her in his arms. Two hours passed and they were far out of the copâs sight. They were almost to their destination but Hoseokâs steps became slower. Areum spoke âStop, I could walk on my own now.â Hoseok shook his head as he kept walking. Sure, he was tired and he exhausted. He could just pass out right then and there but he wasnât going to let go of her.  âHoseok.â Areum spoke louder as her fingers gripped his shirt. âLet me go.â âYouâll get hurt more Areum, Iâve already done enough to you!â He didnât let go her, he couldnât let her go but soon enough he had to let her go. âLetâs take a break.â he panted. Areumâs P.O.V
I laughed a little as he had to let me go sooner or later. Some long scratched lined my leg and I still felt the sting but it wasnât unbearable. I could walk on my own now, well, at least limb. By looking at Hoseok slumped down on a tree I had to walk at this point âOkay, just get on my shoulders.â He panted and knelt down. I chuckled a bit as I tightened the âband aidâ Hoseok put on my cut. âNo love.â I push Hoseokâs shoulders back up. âI need to start doing things on my own.â Five years ago. Areumâs P.O.V
The evening of the ball was wonderful to say the less but as the sun set over the horizon the part I dreaded came. The dance. Where my parents set up certain men from different kingdoms to dance with me. Expecting me to find my one and only true love but the truth was I liked none of these stuck up petty men. They think they all have me at their fingertips when really they all disgust me. With their pristine suits, perfect smiles, and expensive rings. I was so sick of seeing all of them but especially one of them, Namjoon.Â
Namjoon was the richest prince there was. Everyone knew him, loved him, and loathed him. He was the number one running to marry in my parents list but certainly not on mine. Taking a class of champagne before the dance I saw Namjoon coming towards me. Even down to the way he walks irritates me. Even though he didnât do anything to me I just didnât want to marry him. I didnât want him to take me away to wherever he lived and trap me as his little house wife. Oh yeah, might I mention, all of Namjoonâs ex wives told me not to marry him because heâs demanding, bratty, and a so called womanizer.
He gave me a smile and fixed his glasses and I returned with a nice gesture. Coming close he looked down to me, admiring every aspect of my long golden dress. He finally spoke âGood day my lady, Iâm looking forward to out dance.â I just smiled and nodded, just because I hated him didnât mean I had to be rude to the guy. Even though I really wanted to punch his ass to ten buck two. His next words to me made me gag my champagne. âMaybe I could get more than a dance by the end of tonight.â He swayed away with a wink. Now I really wanted to get out of this place. That man was the epitome of sickness. The bell rung and it was already time for the dance. All the princesses gathered in front of the princes. I took my position right in front of Namjoon. The kings and queens oversaw from the tall stories. Overlooking their daughters with binoculars, seeing if they could see anything âmagical.â
The dance has begun and we all followed the elaborate and precise steps to the rhythm. Princes caught us by our waist and held onto our hands tight. Twirling all around the dance floor I soon was caught by Namjoon. My soon to be king. He smirked down onto me as his hand traveled down my waist. I gave him a naĂŻve smile but I really knew what he was doing all along. I couldnât be more happy to spin again into another princeâs arms but Namjoon seemed disappointed that my body left his presence.
The dance went on and on and on. âI think we have found the one for Namjoon, may he have your daughter in marriage?â Namjoonâs father exclaimed loud enough for me to hear. My body went into full shock, I just wanted to get out of there. I knew my parentâs would say yes since theyâve been rooting for us.Â
Spinning
Spinning
My eyes caught the guards running outside of the palace, everyone seemed distracted so I decided to discreetly take my leave. I lifted my long golden dress up and ran to where the guards were running towards. They led me all the way outside. I heard one of the guards running close so I pressed my back onto the brick wall surrounded by bushes so they wouldnât see me. âThere he is!â One of them yelled and chased after a man. I tried to get a closer look but all I could see was a leather black mask and all black attire. He seemed to have a black turtle neck a buckles along his chest. Strange, how could he even get into the castleâs quarters. I knew I shouldnât of but I followed the thief, looking for some new excitement. The guards lost him but I knew exactly where he was heading, the maze. He was taking a shortcut to the maze. One that could be missed by the guards. It was strange that he knew where everything was in this castle, was he one of our workers before? He entered the maze and I came after him. I saw something shiny in his hands, aw it was my bracelet. As I followed I stepped on the noisiest branch.Â
Dang
The thief turned back, pulling out a black gun and it sure did look terrifying. Something thatâs never allowed on the grounds of the castle. âWho goes there.â He spoke. âCome out or I will shoot.âÂ
I didnât really have a choice, the last thing I wanted to do tonight was get shot. Well, maybe it was better than getting engaged to Namjoon. I came out of the bushes and allowed my dress to flow down. I bowed at the thief lifting two sides of my dress up. Once I analyzed his face might I say... He wasnât bad looking, he looked pretty good for a thief actually. âPrincess Bailey.â The thief stood there for a bit, probably in shock heâs seeing me out of anyone. Hoseokâs P.O.V
This day couldnât get anymore stranger. I put the bracelet in my pocket but held the gun tight in my hand. I wasnât afraid to get royal blood splattered on my clothes. âWho do you come with. Where are the guards.â For some reason she just stood in front of me. Staring me down as if I was some sort of toy in the toy store. She took a step closer to me but I took two steps back, holding my gun higher to her head. If I shot at anytime she would for sure dead. This was one bold princess. She spoke once again âThat bracelet, itâs mine. But, you could have it.â âI wasnât asking.â âWhat is it for might I ask? Will you pawn it?â She seemed super calm when seeing a whole criminal right in front of her. The biggest one of Korea that is. âItâs for someone.â âOh a gift? How kind of you sir. If you asked me I wouldâve gave it to you.â âYou donât even know me. â âWho are you then.â The princess smiled as she stepped closer again âI come in peace, please lower your gun.â Not budging still I get a small intercom out of my pocket and spoke âBring the helicopter in the maze.â âHelicopter? Thatâs not very discreet. This castle is filled with security tools. Youâll surely get shot down.â She sung as her heels kicked the rocks on the ground. I thought about it and she did have a point. âCancel the helicopter..â I turned the intercom off and looked at the princess. âOkay, then what do you suggest?â The princess smiled and turned to me. Happy that I gave her an inch. This may be a big trap but at this point I didnât have a choice.Â
âFollow me.â She hums.
