💻 do you do research for your fics? what’s the deepest dive you’ve done?

omg yes!! literally always. even if it's a 200 word drabble, if i set it in a location i'm not familiar with, i'll search up weather, climate, etc just to see if things make sense.

my deepest dive was me coming up w my own vampyre lore for a wip i didn't even finish...

i've been a stranger things au fic in honour of the 4th season (finally LMFAO) but i have no plot, just nose bleeding

💖 what do you like most about your own writing?

this is such a hard question tbh bc i'm always so critical of my writing & i always think i could do better. i would say maybe, esp more recently, i've gotten way better at centring a certain theme in a fic & kind of like focusing character arcs and plotlines around that one theme. i don't rlly like reading/watching stuff that feels all over the place & i don't want my writing like that either so i think i've started doing this just to make everything more cohesive.

i. separation anxiety (jungwon)

It’s the year E-789 and HumanET (humanity) has changed drastically from what it was in the 21st century. Now, Humans aren’t the only species of sentient beings on Earth, there are more androids than humans in the Human population, and a war that’s been broiling for centuries is on the brink of erupting between the ETs and Humans. And, somewhere in the midst of all that—as the beginning of war breaks out—Unit Jungwon is separated from his Human guardian, you, for the first time ever in his existence, forcing him to learn to live without you. The problem with that? His mainframe was never completed and he has less than a Human month to find you before he expires.

iii. the homes we don’t live in (heeseung)

Before Lee Heeseung had died, he’d thought the most lonely feeling in the world was not being heard, not being seen. To be among a group of people, but still feel so alone was the loneliest feeling he’d ever felt.

Now, as a poltergeist stuck between this world and the next, wandering through different homes, he felt true loneliness.

He’d felt it when he had walked through his parents’ home and his mother had stopped at a family potrait, caressed his face with the fondness and care only she could ever posses, and sighed deeply before carrying on with her day. He’d felt it when he had walked through the homes of his friends and spotted the visible marks he’d left in their lives—a seat at Jay’s house their family had got just for him since he had an allergic reaction to their other chairs, a scratch on Jake’s wall they’d left when they’d gotten into a scuffle and immediately laughed about after, and the obvious imprint of his body on Sunghoon’s beanbag which still remained untouched even months after his funeral. He’d especially felt it when he had walked through your home—his home—and you’d still been sleeping in the guest room, tears streaking your face every time you had to walk past your shared bedroom.

And, as he’d tried to reach out and catch your tears, Heeseung had realised he’d never felt so alone in his own home.

 drama - do you enjoy writing drama? what's your favorite?

YES! i just prefer drama as a genre in general but i’ve had more experience reading/watching it than writing it 😭😭 

i would like to write more drama fics but i think they’d be best written as series and idk if i have the energy & time to devote myself to a series rn 😪

length - do you prefer writing short or long fics? maybe somewhere in the middle? what do you consider to be your average fic length?

i think maybe middle? LMAO like even when i tell myself to write a quick 5k fic i end up hitting the 15k mark before i know it & i rlly dk how to like cut it down

idk i think it’s bc i like to flesh out everything even if it’s supposed to be a quick fic so 5k turns into 15k rq 😪

i think 7-10k is my average fic length (based on what i write not what i post... my problem is having the motivation to finish it 😭)

undo - if you could go back and change a fic, be it a twist, or an ending, which one would it be?

but i don’t think i ever rlly put out a fic i’m SO dissatisfied w that i want to change it. i’m a bit of a perfectionist so i have i think 3-4 finished fics sitting in my google docs bc i just don’t like the way they turned out & i Will delete a fic if i don’t like it so...

i think there are drabbles or headcanons (like the soobin one) that i would like to expand on but nothing i would really change the ending of

villain - do you have a favorite villain? in which of your fics did you enjoy writing them the most?

ummm i don’t think i’ve written like a seriously horrible villain at least not the type of villain i enjoy BUT there are a couple of morally grey characters i’ve written in some wips that i hope to post one day LMAO
