TMNT AU Concept:

So I was watching Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts and it gave me a dumb idea for a TMNT AU. It’s also kind of like Mutant Apocalypse but the turtles are still teens for the duration of the story. Basically after some Mutagen disaster that happened decades before, mutants have become the norm while humans are a rare sight. Some value them, for they yearn for pre-mutant times and believe that the remaining humans could be the key to creating a retro-mutagen that could turn every mutant human. Some despise them, for they think humans are inferior creatures who failed to evolve with everyone else. And let’s not forget the humans who think they’re superior to mutants.

The turtles are kind of indifferent to humans because they’ve never really seen one before, until they run into one of the few remaining humans on Earth: April O’Neil. Splinter is probably their stepfather, with their mother Tang Shen being a turtle. (And for 50 bucks I’ll make Shredder a turtle too and their biological father.) Baxter Stockman is a gross housefly man and one of the mutants that wants to become human. Casey Jones is also there.

I have no idea if this is any good, it probably counts as super derivative but I wouldn’t be opposed to writing some sort of fanfic if people are interested in it.
