I had a very specific reputation among my classmates exactly because of my “fun fact” habit
I once told my classmate a myth about tantalus and she said something along the lines
“of course it's YOU who told me that”
I also once did that in a summer camp when I was like 12
I thought that I was bonding with other kids by telling it
but then one girl went to camp counselor to complain
and I was told to stop “acting creepy”
I never went to summer camp again
