stannis found himself feeling relief, ever so slight relief, as she referred to him as ‘your grace’. he knew that his brothers were far more liked than he ever was. he was too blunt, too honest. unlike his brothers he did not hide behind praises and falsities. he told everyone what he thought, made his rulings just, and did not care what others thought of him. davos had recently likened him to valyrian steel, that stannis was sharp enough to cut even in the lowest of circumstances and would not bend or break, he was resolute and unchanging. stannis’s eyes followed lady catelyn’s, seeing her look towards shireen and he wondered if she was thinking of her own girls. “NO. we are here to talk of an alliance, and i think perhaps that your son just saved negotiations by sending you in his stead, my lady.” she was born a tully, and tully’s were not as unpredictable as the wolves were.
