I don’t know what’s going on inside the writers from that Collider website, really

They are so invested in complaining how marvel did Sylvie and Loki’s relationship dirty, when in fact their relationship was the way it was supposed to be, just like it was presented in all of season 1.

Sylvie, as the incredible Tom Hiddleston so eloquently stated, was a mirror to Loki, so that he could see his own errors and how selfish he was. They were never a romance at all, if anything Loki had some sort of crush on her because, again, ego.

And, of course, the retconned kiss was never an “I love you” kiss. That moment was all about Loki trying to stop her and her using his care for her as a distraction to get him out of the way to kill HWR.
