Your game night art is sending me through the roof because now all I can think about is how intense Garp gets when they play Monopoly

AHH, I’m glad folks are liking the whole small game night comic. Honestly, the whole idea of the 4 of them (kobymeppo, Bogard and Garp) just spending quality time in the most mundane ways possible had been plaguing my mind. And yes! Garp (at least in terms of the manga version of him and maybeee a small part of his live action counter part) would ABSOLUTELY be wayy to hyper and extreme and insane when playing more ‘lighthearted’ chance games like monopoly compared to like, Go or Chess.

Even got me thinking a bit that Garp originally didn’t even want to join much in the family board games Bogard and his beloved cadet children played only until Koby would occasionally yet very passionately reference how he thinks the premise of the Monopoly game is absolutely rancid as he finds it unpleasant as it happens to be a ‘vehicle of political indoctrination and encourages capitalistic ideals’ to Garp each time they spent time together in his office just so the old man could get a chuckle out of watching Koby get into small fervent social commentaries time to time during the game.

Also Garp is the type to cheat idk, man probably asks Koby to read to him each personal ‘keep for later cards’ he owns out loud to Garp (to which Koby had happily obliged to do) while Bogard and Helmeppo just side eyes Garp hard 💀💀

Also last head-cannon that Koby had no idea how to play monopoly in the beginning so Helmeppo and Bogard had to teach him during practice rounds before slowly spiraling into sadness when he realizes that the game rules are corrupt ‘just like in real life’ to which Helmeppo just absolutely tries not to lose it.
