character X is a one of the smart ones that does things so big brain it's beyond other's comprehension, but reader manages to thwart their plans and for that they will pay dearly (nsfw ensues)

Lovers to enemies to lovers again - Reader dates the yandere but soon gets tired of their yandere shtick and tries to escape but nope you're not getting away

Reader is the yandere

Yandere thwarts Readers wedding with someone else and demands to have them instead (if it's someone powerful, refusing might lead to a diplomatic problem so no one can defend reader who probably feels betrayed). I imagine the wedding is interrupted by the tap of a cane so yk who I'm hinting at xd sorry, fave character

Yandere makes sure the others turn their back on Reader so reader has no one to go to but Yandere (and even if they don't want to Yandere will find a way, something reader needs or wants and can't ask anyone else now)

MC has literally no idea Yandere likes them, their tactics are subtle and they don't show their likes... It's as if those encounters and situations are fated. A cruel fate that is.
