Late report for the end of Revo’s Acoustic Night

However, one thing that has garnered a lot of attention was the fact that Revo talked at length about Jimang and his future with Sound Horizon. Some of you may have already been aware that Jimang had already shown hesitation about collaborating with Sound Horizon even before Nein, but in the end, he had decided to that album anyway. He tweeted about his being in a slump over this decision at the time, but went on with the lives with all his might regardless, like a true professional.

Revo mentioned during his MC for Tasogare no Kenja that Jimang had been one of the first people he had invited to join the Acoustic Nights. He then went to talk about how he has relied on Jimang since the early years of Sound Horizon and how much Jimang has lent his strength for Revo. Nevertheless, Jimang has his own career, his own music, whereas Revo has grown both as an artist and as a person. So with this, Jimang expressed wanting to separate himself from Sound Horizon (not for good!) and focus on his career, saying “I’m sorry, Revo-chan”.

Revo noted that this, naturally, made him feel dejected, and Laurants would probably also feel that way when Jimang isn’t there in the near future, but Revo told us to embrace the feeling, as it is rather beautiful in nature. And, of course, he wishes Jimang all the best and hopes the Laurants can also support him in his career.
