I Don't Know If I Have The Authority To Speak Because I've Never Experienced An American-style Halloween - Tumblr Posts
HALLOWEEN WITHOUT CANDIES?!?!?
Skully then moves on to his third point, which is that Halloween should be "modest." Trey asks what does he mean by that, exactly? Skully explains that when you think of Halloween, it should be without frivolities like singing or dancing or even feasting.

Trey: "Well then maybe we should keep sweets to a minimum, maybe just a bit of candies and chocolates."

Skully: "Candies?"
He asks for what reason do they even need candies for, and Trey and Riddle are kinda shocked. Trey explains that it's for trick or treating, and Skully realizes that it's meant to stave off trickster ghosts away. But fret not, he says, for they are strong enough to ward ghosts WITHOUT candies!

Skully: "Therefore, such frivolous things are unnecessary for Halloween."

Trey and Riddle: "HALLOWEEN WITHOUT CANDIES?!"
Trey: "Isn't that a bit sad?"
Riddle: "Children would not enjoy that kind of Halloween!"
RIDDLE I FEEL LIKE YOU'RE DESPAIRING FOR YOURSELF AND NOT FOR KIDS TBH

Riddle: "It's true that Halloween treats were originally used to send ghosts back to the afterlife, but nowadays it's children who look forward to getting treats."

Riddle: "For this to be "the best Halloween ever," then there absolutely must not be any shortage of sweets."

Trey: "That's right. And it's not just kids. We also enjoy sweets, don't we? Even those who make the candies themselves spend months thinking of what to make for Halloween."

Riddle: "Well... I won't deny that the sweets you make are simply divine."

Grim: "I'll never agree to miss my chance to eat good food!"
