WIP INTRO — Edge of the Banished

Genre: Gothic Horror

Setting: A made-up island in the 1920s

Synopsis: Exile is miserable. The two years Asha and Aleksander were supposed to serve are up and they’re still trapped. There’s no way to pass the time anymore. They’re struggling to pay rent and can barely afford proper food. All they can do is surround themselves with the sick and dying. But soon power hungry leaders will cause Aleksander to snap. And when he does, he's bringing Asha down with him.

Characters:

Aleksander Burton (narrator, 17) - wannabe doctor (very much a murderer)

Asha Patel (narrator, 16) - a bit more sane (until she isn’t)

Morana Holmes (17) - secretary for murder plots (landlord???)

Zoya Farley (16) - evil maybe not really just poor and a pirate :(
