my main problem with deer gem is that that woman NEVER acts like a deer. like grian is always acting like a bird yaknow? he steals things and shows up to bother people and loves flying. bird behavior. but gem would not react to Anything the way a deer would. if you walk towards her she wouldnt run away skittishly she would run TOWARDS you to psyche you out. shes more like a moose or something tbh

and a big part of her character was her primary personality struggling against her brand new deer instincts
i dont remember exactly but i think there was a line about for a half second she went to flee. and grian could see the decision on her face
