I have a question from the type of odd ones, i suppose.

So there was this conversation I witnessed some time ago, where a person said that they are aromantic, and that aromantic can fall in love too. And I am trying to understand how can they fall in love.

Now, I am not trying to be rude or anything (and I apologize if I sound so), just curious and in search for an answer.

I understand there is for example a platonic love, (is it like between friends? For me distinguishing between types of feelings etc is a bit hard), or maybe something else, but for me when someone says “i fell in love with someone” it usually means romantic love… so I suppose I may just be misinterpreting what that person said.

So if someone would be so kind and help me understand, I would be very gratefull.
