Hey here’s an awful thought: the others all know Jon doesn’t sleep much because he’s a stressed out workaholic. And if it’s been worse since he returned from his coma, it can hardly be called a surprise. They’re all under a lot of pressure. No one notices the drawer full of caffeine pills in his desk, or the tremor in his hand as he fumbles for another cigarette. If he seems distracted more often, he can always blame it on a sudden burst of Knowing. And if he’s very careful when he stands, he’ll barely feel the dizziness at all. He still has to sleep eventually, of course, he’s not stupid. But if the monster in people’s dreams doesn’t haunt them for a few days, well, it’s the least he can do, isn’t it?
