So imagine Bakugou and Kirishima being sent overseas on a mission, or training, or they get given out on loan to an agency abroad when they’re sidekicks.

On one of their free days they’re out together exploring the city and taking in the sights, just about managing to navigate the public transport system and as they’re visiting one of the landmarks Bakugou spots you out of the corner of his eye.

And he can’t explain it, can’t put his finger on it but there’s just something about you that has him mesmerised. Even after watching all those cheesy rom-coms with his mother, and reading those romance fiction books, he’d never believed in love at first sight. But here you were standing there and changing everything he’d ever known about love.

The only problem? Kirishima saw you too.

“Please man, we gotta go over and introduce ourselves.”

“You don’t even speak English, Kiri.” Bakugou scoffed, but deep down he didn’t want Kirishima introducing himself to you.

Bakugou wished he could be the one to walk over and introduce himself, finding out your name and where you were from. If you were from the city or just another tourist like them.

“No, but you do— come on Kats, please? For me?” Kirishima was giving him those stupid fuckin’ puppy eyes now as he basically gripped onto his forearm.

Tugging himself free with a ‘tch’ as he rolled his eyes, the response was the confirmation Kirishima needed as he walked over to you with Bakugou.

He could feel his heart pounding against his ribcage as he neared you, his throat going dry as you noticed them coming closer. A beautiful smile forming on your lips as Kirishima said “Hey, how are you?” in broken English as his accent shone through.

Bakugou began to introduce them both, watching the way your eyes lit up as you did the same. Your name had his chest tightening as he asked what you were doing tomorrow, and whether you’d want to go on a date with his best friend.

Knowing that Kirishima wouldn’t be able to go on a date without him, his lack of English would have him falling at the first hurdle as, just as Bakugou expected, Kiri began to beg him to come once you’d agreed.

Now he’d have a front row seat to watching his best friend fall in love with you, and wondering why it couldn’t for once be him.
