I Have Been Working On This Since December 27 - Tumblr Posts
Sorry for interferring TvT No one asks my opinion but imma just share my thoughts on this (bc my brain is so brainstorming now and uhhh‐ why not? XD) (this is gonna be a long one, Embrace yourselves)
@inksandpensblog I agree with you about the fanarts XD Fanarts are simply portrait arts of a character... from fans xD. Fan-arts are just fan-arts xD but...
With @tulipsempai 's question,
If ever they would come to life, in just fan arts TvT, that will lead to you (or anyone at this rate) in making an AU(headcanon) of that character, depending on the art, depending on the concept (ig).
Because, what about the other concept arts of a existing character from other creators? Like genderswaps? the switch personalities? Switch stories? Aren't they clones of the original in just forms of a new character and personalities already as you, a Creator, made? they were Never canon to many, but they are canon to other more creator's eyes. And that's Something we can't just discard easily these days TvT
needless to say..? Even just a single Fanart can be leading to Cloning or making a new character of an existing work of art can be both,
at the same time not- because if you, for example, draw stickfigure Second Coming just sleeping and lets say in the weirdest place to sleep possible, does that mean you are cloning second into doing that thing or making a new characteristic of him sleeping? or just simply imagining him doing that? Now just depending on the creator's and viewer's concept of that art TvT
(I watch Undertale aus. And Underverse is the reason why I have this weird thinking about AUs- I blame Underverse in having this theory XD)
But if I were to prefer, I'd stick in making them as New Characters TvT because if we see them as clones- yea- that would be messed up for that character's "mind?" i dunno TvT, still depending on whatever situation the creator makes out there (at the same time very Interesting)
Just sayin xD
(i mean lets face it. Our big brain is like that these days, it's just up to us if we want to hurt our brain with paradoxes and make it canon for us or not... orrrr maybe its just me TvT)
----------------------
As for this question:
I have 2 headcanons about creation's relationship with their Creators: (Now keep this in mind, we might get back to this again TvT Im still not sure tho but imma just put that there) 1) about Creators/Animators with their creations that: in whatever they create, the creation reflects something about their Creator, one thing or more about them. And whatever a Creator makes, already have life with or without the Creator and creation knowing. But in order for that to happen, the purpose of the vessel needs to be Confirmed while in making the creation or before its making
2) A more Mighty Creator or any other creator who has power to do so, gave life to a smaller creator's creation, depending on the reason, why He/they gave life to that creation. Thus, leading to multiple Alternates of that character
(These two are connected at the same time very different on their same way, i just cant describe it much right now TvT imma just put it here just in case)
Now, an Avatar (no- not that 'avatar' legend of nations about earth, fire, water and wind- nah not that one XD), for me, is/are made to be just vessel/s for the creator to exist in a world the creator cannot be in physically.
Now for the 1st question, what happens to a stick figure, who's supposed to be an Avatar of their animator, comes to life?
Now Conclusion 1: (i honestly dont know how many i might make but here i go anyways)
So hypothetically, if we were to follow the pink headcanon I made, as an avatar creation comes to life 'on their own', for me, that's just a 'magic/power' a creator have and/or given to their creation either knowingly or unknowingly. What happens to them, is that creation (avatar or oc (i feel like oc's are more different compared to avatars but ima put it there)) comes to life.
A life of a creation is made as it was created. Life is already just within them, but, what triggers the creation to be alive? That might be the reflection of the creator to them.
With that being said, For the 1st question, If an Avatar character surprisingly just came to life. They never came to life on their own. You, as Their Creator, are/might be, one of the reasons for them to be Alive. And as you make that avatar, it reflects their purpose as an Avatar for you, Encoded in their own being. the trigger why they need to exist Conclusion 2: If we we are to consider the Purple headcannon, a more higher Creator gave life to that stickfigure/character. Take not it can be any other creator who has capability to do so. For a reason only That Creator only knows.
Now enter 2nd question: Are they their own person?
If we are talking about 'Avatars', I feel like no... and that- it depends again on how the creator wants them to be or on how they just made them
Because, logically, any stickfigures/characters that are created as an avatar of their Creator/animator, will be still under the creator's control of that character and it's personallity, because- well- that character is created to be their persona or somthing. here's the interesting part, the How will that Avatar will live as it correspond to it's Creator? it can be: for me I would take it as:
Direct, wherein, the creator roleplays within that avatar. with the avatar knowing it's creator
Indirect, wherein, that avatar knows its purpose but merely does not know about the existence of creators or even having one. All that avatar knows is that, they are living. and they have a life to live
But I still think it depends on the creator's 'lore' about that character and how is their relationship with each other. If the Creator decides that- that avatar of theirs is a persona,
When you make fanarts of the AvA/M sticks...
And for some reason, they come to life...
Are they clones of the original stickfigures or new characters?
