Saiby, startled by the sudden searing pain in his back, whirls around, only to see Mara, but she looks...very, very wrong, her fire a light grey and her eyes empty. He tries to move away in a panic, but stumbles and falls backwards onto the ground, landing hard. He tries to crawl away, but the wound in his black, now bleeding, prevents him from making much progress.

Hey Mara how are you? I heard something bad happened so I had to come check on you, are you doing ok?

Mara flinches, staring up at Saiby with wide eyes. [ Don’t come any closer! ] She wraps her arms around herself as a sort of restraint, but also as a comfort. Her eyes dart frantically between Saiby and his chest, as something slowly wakes back up. [ They’re going to try to hurt you…. Stay away! ] She stumbles back, frantic and terrified. Her flame sputters from the exhaustion that’s clear in her limbs, and flares out of fear. The poor monster is a complete mess.
