i just ranted on someone’s post about max and jos and their relationship. idk why but i feel sm lighter rn after ranting god know what on that poor person’s post 😭

sports might take a lot of dedication and commitment but that doesn’t mean that the jos was allowed to straight up be a jerk to his son. i feel like the main reason max even started training to be a F1 driver was so that jos could live his dreams through his son. and yes, jos doesn’t have to be ‘villainised’ but there have been multiple instances other than the gas station incident where we can see that while jos may have been a coach, he didn’t know when to switch from said coach to the dad that a child needed. i am indian myself and while i might not have the best support system, i still consider myself very lucky in this department since there are much worse parents to have. there is always a fine line between being a dad and being a father, and jos has always been far into the being a father to max than being his dad.
