This comes from the novel I'm writing, it's about two superpowered siblings who have to go on the run when a shadowy organization targets them because of the older brother's powers and place in the time stream.

Said older brother has a boyfriend, who will eventually turn into fiancé during the story^^, doesn't get to answer the yes to his face due to plot reasons, but when he's drugged out of his mind on sedatives after being shot in the abdomen, he accepts the proposal with an "I love you"

His younger sister, who has been struggling ever since he got shot with feelings of guilt and uselessness, is the only one in the room.

But still, she lowers her voice as best as she can, and says "I love you too" to try and comfort him since she can help no other way.
