As a Zenyatta main, and a fan of Genji, I felt I needed to do this. Also the program I used, never again. I’ve never been so frustrated.
I love Overwatch au’s so I thought I’d try it, and all I got right now is rough concept art but honestly, Genji and Reaper look awesome! The detail of a piece of Hanzo’s ribbon is the only substantial amount of story behind this but I don’t mind. I thought Genji would be a lost soul in this au, thus this duo with Reaper Reyes, and the showdown in Hanamura in the dragon’s animatic is where he got the ribbon tear. Except it went different from the original animatic, Genji was actually going to kill Hanzo, had not finally had a uphoria while holding his sword to Hanzo’s throat. He probably took a piece of the ribbon instead, I’d like to think he said,
“Try not to drown yourself brother, we still have a rematch another time. Until then...”
Then he just casually goes and cuts it and disappear like in the animatic. Anyway, more coming soon, along with some fun stuff, probably a bunch of Genji messing around while Reaper has to deal with it.
