If I had a nickel for every time I found media with a pairing that could be taken as being very queer, and ambiguously romantic, but definitely a partnership that nothing could separate (as in, queer platonic life partners), I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, and it’s amazing that it occurred twice, and I wish that it would occur more.
