Any opinions on robot canoodling? (Or on Transformers having romance in general?)

I mean, my favorite Transformers cartoon is Beast Wars.  And you can’t really have Beast Wars as a favorite cartoon if you’re not into Robo Romance.  Having a Maximal and a Predacon wanna canoodle is one of the best dramatic decisions the second season had.  That’s a huge deficit many Transformers series have had since then – nobody’s falling in love in terrible, catastrophic ways.
