I know his whole thing is traitorous double crosser and stuff and it was that rendition of him I initially loved but I really got my hopes up for a redemption arc for him AND potentially not die.

He died in the comics. Shattered Glass he died. Armada he sacrificed himself. Whether he's good or evil he always dies and seeing season 1 Starscream made me hopeful of 1, a Starscream who gets to grow, and 2, live to continue to grow.

Btw not saying the show awful, like again I know he's known as a backstabber and this is something he could do. If I had access to the show as a whole I'd probably still watch it but oof, I'd need to rework how I see Earthspark Starscream and instead see Evil Boi is Evil instead of Potentially Had a Chance.
