Former professor here, this happens and it’s always so uncomfortable please stop doing it. I can’t speak for everyone but I was less than ten years older than my students at that time and I still saw them as babies. I couldn’t fathom being so attracted to one of them that I would ignore decency and academic ethics and literally the first rule we learned in our teaching seminar, Don’t Sleep With The Students. The low cut blouse and hand on the knee ‘I’d do anything to pass this class’ thing happened about once a year though and I never found a better way to handle it than just act completely oblivious and gayer than usual until they gave up 🤷🏻
