i really would love to explore the mess of an au that would come out of ella marrying the prince ( ie. alt timeline 2 ). it would be a mess, because for one, while i do not know if they would figure out where ella is right away, they would at some point and then they would have to figure out how to fight. three trolls. Yikes. and you also want to know what is another Yikes? ella having Zero romantic feelings for the prince is just sitting there trying to Endure and pretend and all the while trying to do good by the throne and ruling, but is oh so clearly not happy and feels she has little agency ( i will not ramble. i have thoughts. but i will Not ramble ). Double mess. and if you know me i love a mess.
