I don't know who to go to so I thought I'd come here. I have a habit that I do that I know is hurting me but I don't know how to stop. I can't talk to my mom nor can I talk to my friends. Can you offer any suggestions on how I can?
I'm honestly sorry to hear that, though I'm glad you know that it's something you should stop.
Unfortunatly, these kinds of things depend a lot on each person (Also, keep in mind that my advices or suggestions are quite limited to what I experienced and learned in my life and i'm obviously nowhere near a professional).
For me, when I get too overwelmed with thoughts I try to get my mind occupied, so now I have a lot of hobbies. Maybe you could try to find one that has what you need, maybe an artistic outlet (such as music, drawing or writing), a more physical one (such as a martial art, dance or exercice), something to keep your hands occupied (like knitting or crochet), or really anything that you like as long as it takes your mind out if any urges or bad thoughts you may have, or at least distract you a bit, just enough for you to think clearly. But if things are/get really bad, you should really try to contact someone, alright?
And as I said, these are what worked for me. So they might not work for you.
But regardless, it was brave of you to reach out! Dealing with these things is difficult, but you'll get through them♡ I'll be here rooting for you! And if none of what I said help, then try other people until you get something that works, just please don't give up.
