I Wouldnt Call It Fridging Because Theres A Violence To Fridging That Isnt This Story Thankfully - Tumblr Posts
Oh yeah! It can, but my lovely friend knows several people in the Air Force. Specifically a Pilot wouldn't get discharged for punching a superior officer. Like if Hal was a hangar worker it'd be more clear cut, but since he is a pilot they usually tend to get away with more specifically because of how much time it takes to train one. (but that's just me finding the inner workings of the Air Force interesting, this def isn't me correcting you or anyone, just what I've learned from people who are serving in the Air Force.)
I definitely agree on Jessica Jordan's death, but I do think there is an interesting story somewhere in there with Hal having a strained relationship with his mom and realizing far too late that she's the parent that loved him most. I just don't think any writer can or will give it justice ðŸ˜
while i'm not a huge fan of the circumstances surround hal's dishonorable discharge (re: misogyny and jessica jordan) since it's become part of his defacto origin, the ramifications of it should really be brought up more. a dishonorable discharge is functionally a felony. hal jordan does not have civil rights.
