I’ve been pondering the idea of a pred who observers don’t bother about their big belly and the prey desperately calling for help and struggling, not because they don’t care or are afraid, but because they literally can’t perceive what’s happening. Only the pred and prey can see reality for what it is, everyone else is seeing the reality the pred wants them to see.
