Jiyan sighed as he continued to stroll throughout the recently destroyed village, he was finally able to come back to Jinzhou and see his mother again, but he had to check on a destroyed village before he could come back, since there were sights of lost souls there, probably the souls of those who died in the village during a horrible Tacet Discord rade.
Jiyan noticed a blue light from the corner of his eye, he looked back to see it was behind a small house, which was almost completely destroyed.
Jiyan suspected it was probably one of the lost souls, so he went to check up on it. The only way to get rid of the souls was to help them complete their last wish they couldn't complete while they were still alive, and luckly most of them were possible, but some souls were left to wander forever.
As he walked towards the blue light he heared a familiar voice, a voice of an older woman.
"Waiting..."
'That voice, it cant be..' Jiyan thought as he walked faster, he went behind the house only to be met with the sight of a soul of an old woman sitting on whats left of the porch of the house, admiring the flowers. His heart sank as he realised who it was, his mother, who was supposed to be at Jinzhou waiting for him.
"Waiting, Jiyan, when you come home I'll be waiting. Even if you're the last thing I see, I'll be waiting." the woman sang, her voice as soft as he remembered, Jiyan could feel tears threatning to fall as he crouched, getting onto her level.
"I'm right here, mom." Jiyan said, hoping that she will look at him, to notice him.
"Can't you see?" he asked, getting no answer, the older woman just continued singing.
"I'm waiting." she sang, making her sons heart break, she didn’t see him.
"I took too long." Jiyan whispered, if only he wasn't the General, if only he came back sooner he might have said goodbye.
"I'll always love you." He looked back at his mother, finally meeting her eyes, she sees him.
"And ventured too far." he continued, he wantee to make sure that his mother can truly see him, and he saw the way her eyes softened as he continued to scold himself for not coming back sooner.
"I'll stay in your heart." you said as you tried to touch his cheek, but your hands went through him, making both of you sad.
"While you were waiting." he finished, before he could say anything you smiled as you slowly start to disappear, he knew what your last wish was, to see him again.
"Bye mom." Jiyan said as he looked at the spot you were sitting on, now there was only an empty space.
