"You - got a name?" Rhett asked, secretly desperate to hear something other than his own voice in the tiny room.

The man remained quiet for another minute, so long that Rhett got up from the bed to get the boiling water from the stove. When his back was turned, he heard a faint, "Link," spoken.

Rhett turned around, seeing the man now sitting up in the bed completely and watching Rhett.

"Link, nice to meet you. I'm Rhett."

seven sentence sunday

Hey cool, I was tagged by @finduilasclln to post 7 sentences of a WIP. From the rough draft I finished this weekend:

Eddie doesn’t answer. He grabs the towel from the nightstand to clean himself up, hands it over to Buck. Buck tosses it aside and rolls over instead. He runs his hand down Eddie’s sweat-slick chest and belly and down until his fingertips catch in damp hair.

“Tell me for real that in all this time you never once thought about it. In the bunk room… in the shower… on the pool table…”

“Thinking’s not the same as doing.”
