Okay okay hear me out: you know Nagito loves you (how could you not, with the way he looks at you and is always eager to remind you) but probably the most solid declaration of love he’s ever made?

“I would live for you.”

Because we all know that Nagito doesn’t mind death. For the most part he doesn’t seek it out, but he doesn’t actively avoid it either. I mean, considering the way his luck works and the way he views himself, I don’t think he sees his own death as much of a loss. And that’s why this is such a powerful statement from him: living is infinitely harder than dying would be, but if it’s with you? He’s more than willing to do it. He’s willing to not just survive but live and whether it’s in the sense that having you around makes him feel like life is worth living (he loves waking up and seeing you besides him, peaceful and dreaming) or if it’s just that he wants to survive for your sake (it’s been mentioned before that you’d be devastated if he ever died) or maybe a combination of both, I think that simple statement is one of the things he’s said that makes you finally begin to grasp how much he really loves you.
