          for  a  moment,  tk  found  himself  surprised  that  judd  even  let  grace  leave  the  house  without  breakfast—the  man  was  so  protective  of  her,  and  even  if  tk  could  see  how  it  could  be  overbearing  at  times,  it  was  cute.  he  almost  made  a  comment  about  it,  but  bit  it  back,  taking  a  small  step  forward  instead.

          “ i  think  we  have  some  fruit  in  the  kitchen, ”  he  offered  with  a  small  smile.  “ and  some  yogurt  in  the  fridge—individually  wrapped,  don’t  worry. ”  she  could  try  to  decline,  but  tk  didn’t  plan  on  making  it  easy  for  her.

          “ if  we  can  find  some  granola,  maybe  you  can  make  a  parfait. ”

Grace looked up at the question, eyebrows raising when she realized she had zoned out in the firehouse. Hearing TK's question brought her out of it, blinking for a moment. "I think dinner last night. I may have skipped breakfast this morning." At least she had the decency to look guilty at the admission.
