It was no doubt one of the best nights of your life, even though it was with who your friends considered the ‘enemy’. Yes, it was probably not a good idea to get really drunk. Probably also not a good idea to go home with Kai drunk but we all make mistakes, right.  But see the problem was drunk plus flirting plus kai ended up equalling one nightstand. But now the thing is Kai has been trying to get your attention and you have been missing him but the thing is . . .  you did a pregnancy test and it was positive. In all honesty  you wanted Kai and him chasing after you was something you loved but being pregnant with his baby well you didn't know how to tell him. How do i tell him i'm pregnant with his baby? After a one nightstand? Would he want it? Would he get mad? Hate me? All the thoughts running through my head were hurting my head. I had been trying to stay away from Kai cause i know i can’t ignore him but if i  don’t see him then i can. If i see him i know i won’t be able to ignore him. As crazy as it sounds i do love Kai and thats why im so scared of what he will do if or when he finds out i'm pregnant with his baby.

It had been awhile  since you had seen Kai he had been calling and trying to get ahold of you but you lately kept your phone off so it went straight to voicemail.

As I was sitting at home watching Netflix on the couch. I paused “Arrow” and walked over to the kitchen to get some tea from the fridge. That’s when i heard a knock on the door, as i walked over to it once i opened it. I was shocked to say the least.

“Kai, I-” I was not expecting him to show up.

“You have been ignoring me. I want to know why. Also why can’t i reach you over the phone?” he asked while pushing me to the side a little walking in.

“I, ummm turned it off.” I said moving to the couch.

“And the ignoring me part?” he asked again crossing his arms.

“I don’t want-” I started

“Didn’t” he corrected with a smirk.

“-Want to. It's just something happened and-” I said before he cut me off, again.

“What happened? Are you sick, did your friends say somethings again to make you change your mind about me.” he sounded concerned.

“Nothing more than the usual “he’s the bad guy” that's what they say all the time.

“Well are you sick?” he asked again.

“Of a sort” I muttered.

“Wha-what do you mean?” he asked so intently.

“Kai i’m-  . . . Its nothing ok just leave, please..”

“What? No! I’m not gonna leave, we both agreed that it was one of the best nights of our lives! So why  all of a sudden avoid me?!” he yelled.

“I’m pregnant . . . I’m pregnant Kai. That’s why-” I said almost inaudible, but I know he heard me.

“You’ve been avoiding me and not answering my texts or calls.” he paused.

“But why? Why not tell me?” he asked looking kinda lost at me with this like kinda lost look on his face.

“Because kai, it was a one-nightstand. I didn’t think you would want the baby.”

“I want to be with you y/n-” he started but i cut him off.

“Just because you want to be with me Kai doesn’t mean you want a baby or to help me raise one at that.” I almost shouted at him.

“I will admit y/n, I didn’t expect to ever have a kid. It will also be different and it will work. But i would love to have a kid a baby with you, no one else just you. And i would happily have a baby with you, and raise him or her with you. Not just any baby, our baby, our kid.” he said, then picked me up spinning me around.

I’m so happy, not only did Kai want to be with me but he wanted to have the baby with me, and raise the baby. The fact that he is happy means the world to me. I know he’s worried about not be a good father. I mean he has the right he didn’t have a very good role model. But he’s not like his father, and he’s not all bad people don’t see the side I do.

“I’m really happy you want to, you're gonna be a good dad.” I told him smiling as he sat down on the couch with me straddling him.

“I’m happy I found out. I love you” he said smiling and moving hair out of my face.

“I love you to” I said back smiling just as big, if that's possible.

The last thing I remember was I was searching for my keys in my bag. Then I felt someone come up behind me. But before I could turn around, suddenly there was a cloth over my mouth. My vision started getting black spots then the next thing I know is I’m completely blacked out. I know I fell into someone's arms. An they have to be supernatural because whoever it was matched my strength. Then I woke up tied to a chair.

“Why am I here? Let me guess my brother pissed you off?” I asked in a groggy tone.

“Why's that your go to?” he asked chuckling

“Because its the main reason that I get kidnapped . . . frequency.” I sighed

“So I’m not doing anything original?” he asked

“Nope” I stated

“Damon, well, yes your brother pissed me off.”

I knew it.

“Which one? And what they do this time?” wondering why I was being held captive this time also so I know which brother to blame.

“Damon. He thinks he can threaten me and there won’t be consequences.” he said before turning his back to me to throw his cupcake wrapper away.

“He threatens everybody. Your not the first, your not gonna be the last. Trust me.” I spoke with an irritated tone

“I strangely do.” he said smiling that captivating smile at me from over his shoulder as he walked back over.

“So like aren’t you a sociopath? You don’t feel anything right, like if I were to flip my switch?” I asked curiously

“Kinda like that. Except for some reason after I merged I feel, things.” he looked frustrated by that fact

“Like what things?”

“Well, normally I’m not burdened by things like guilt or love. But now I feel guilty for what I did to Jo, Live, and Luke. And I don’t know why I’m even telling you about this.” he scoffed but has a shy smile on his face.

“Maybe because you don’t have anyone to talk to or that will listen to you. An I am a willing participant.” I stated with a smirk tilting my head to the side wondering if that answered his question.

“Why are you listening to me? Aren’t we suppose to be enemies?” he asked looking puzzled

“I like hearing both sides of what happened and making my choice for myself. I know what it’s like to feel alone. To not have anyone on your side.” I explained. I have learned that there are always two sides. And I’ve learned that you shouldn’t trust only one half of the story.

“Your interesting” he said with a smirk creeping up on his face

“Thank you” I smirked proudly taking it as a compliment

We talked for hours.After a while it felt like we had been friends for ages.

“I think I’m falling for you” he blurted out

“When you kidnap someone I’m pretty sure your not suppose to fall in love with them.” I softly chuckled looking up shyly.

“Well, then I’m doing it wrong.But I wouldn’t have it any other way.” he said in a serious tone looking me in the eyes “its the only feeling that I’ve been sure about.”

“I think its safe to say my brothers not coming for me” I laughed, considering Kai said I slept for hours and now I have been held captive for 31 hours

“Yeah” he said pursing his lips into a pout

“How about we get outta here, get dinner.” I suggested raising an eyebrow

“I’m up for it. Let's go sweetheart” he said untying me. He leaned down to kiss me and I responded immediately “oh and by the way, this is a date”

I could only smile.Maybe this could be the start of a beautiful relationship.

People were busy all around the Grill. It is dinner-rush so it’s to be expected. I’m just sitting alone here with my f/d and a basket of fries. Scrolling through my phone and acausally writing stuff down I normally do this, sitting alone. Being alone in general.

I live in the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia. A town filled with supernatural creatures: mainly Vampires, Witches, and acausally a werewolf here and there. Once even a Hybrid.

Me, I stay out of all the supernatural drama. No one knows that I’m supernatural or what I am. An I intend to keep it that way.

I’m a siphoner but I’m also a vampire. I guess it’s called a Heretic.

Suddenly I noticed someone sitting across from me in my booth. I looked at him raising one eyebrow looking around confused.

“W-what are you doing?” I asked him not understanding why a stranger was sitting with me.

“Sitting” he replied

“No, I mean. You don’t know me, why are you talking to me?” I spoke with a careful voice

“We might not know each other but we should.” he said with a confident tone and a smile that brightened his face

“Why should we?” I looked at him quizzingly. Not knowing why he thought we should get to know each other, probably just a bad pickup line.

“Because you and I, we are the same.” he smiled again taking a couple fries from my basket of them. Yep, this guy is crazy. He pointed between the two of us.

“We are nothing alike. I can say that and mean it” I told him. Although to him I’m just trying to get rid of him. But to me its because I’m not normal.

“I wouldn’t say that. I mean your a Heretic, right?” he asked giving me the ‘duh’ look, hoping that I don’t play the long game

“How do you know that?” I looked around hoping no one heard him. How does he know that about me its not a sensible thing. Not by smell, look, or touch.

“Chill. Look I’m one too, ok? Relax.” he laughed pointing to himself. He looked generally happy

“How? We are not a rare thing it only happens like once in a lifetime.” I asked him with wide eyes. Not believing there is another Heretic.

“Wowow look I’ll tell you every gory detail as long as you tell me yours.” he smiled and I nodded agreeing to tell him my story.

We probably talked for hours he told me his story, and to be honest I felt bad for him. His family treated him like shit all because he was born different than his siblings, it’s not like he could control it.

I told him mine. I’m from 1784 and I was just a siphoner back then I got turned by Klaus Mikaelson. He didn’t know what would happen but we guessed and it worked. I became both. The Mikaelsons took me in when my family kicked me out. They hated that I was different and not like them so they kicked me out. Klaus found me, took me in and even gave me the family name.

“Hey it’s closing time you guys have to leave.” one of the waiters said before passing our table to go clean others. No doubt waiting for us to leave and be able to clean our table.

We looked at each other and finished our drinks. Once we finished them we headed out.

“Well that was nice” Kai stated once out of the Grill and put his jacket on

“What was? What was nice?” I asked him looking up at him before we crossed the street to sit at one of the benches.

“Hanging out with someone understands how it felt to be a siphoner and a person who doesn’t hate me for everything I’ve done. It was nice not being alone.” he said sitting down next to me. Looking over with what I assume is happiness. Something tells me from his past that he doesn't feel that often.

“Yeah, it was.” I spoke softly. He looked at me questioningly, quietly asking me to go on “I’m normally all by myself, alone. Don’t want anyone to find out what I am. I don’t want to get dragged into all the supernatural crap that goes on in this town.” I told him honestly. Looking at my hands that rest in my lap.

“I get that, I wish I wasn’t as big of a part in it as I am.” he confused looking down to. I could tell he regretted some of what he did.

“It was nice to meet you Kai” I said after some time of silence. I stood up ready to head home.

“Wait! Wait! I don’t want this to end” he rushed out standing up quickly, grabbing ahold of her arm

“What do you suggest?” I questioned hoping he had a good plan or at least idea

“Well I would like to take you out on a date” he stood straight up and smiles interlacing both your hands

“Kai I don’t-” I started to stutter out but he cut me off, although I’m kind of glad he did.

“I know you don’t want to get sucked into all the supernatural drama that goes on in this godforsaken town. But we can keep you a secret from them. And if they find out about you we just tell them your human. No need to let them know everything, right?” he pleaded giving puppy dog eyes. I could see the hope they held. I want to give it a shot but I really don’t want to get caught up in the Mystic Falls drama that goes on so often.

“I guess but how do you suggest we do this?” I looked at him not knowing where to start

“Just like any other relationship, I guess” he shook his head with a smile tugging on the corners of his mouth

“Kai I don’t-”

“Please. . .just take a chance, on this, us” He begged moving one heard to your right cheek cupping it, holding the side of my face. I leaned into it.

“Ok” I agreed with a big smile

Even if I got sucked into all the crap an drama I would have Kai by my side.

As we decided to head back to my place he swung his arm around my shoulders and every time we passed someone Kai pulled me into his side. Shielding me from anything and anyone that could be harmful. This hopefully will all work out.

“Ok, I’ll help you.” Kai nodded after hearing the Mystic Falls gang out. Which they all sighed in relief. “Only” Kai added, which only made them all grunt. “If Y/n comes with.” Kai smiled

“Why?” Damon asked, raising an eyebrow

“Because her, I trust. I mean you can understand can’t you. After leaving me in 1903 I don’t trust any of you.” Kai explained, loving how they all tensed up.

“Then why do you trust her?” Elena questioned the siphoner 

“Because she wasn’t apart of it. You all told her that I left town, not what you did.” he took a sip out of his glass.

“So, you bring Y/n and I’ll help. If not then, figure it out on your own.” Kai smirked before getting up and leaving.

“So did you make your decision?” Kai asked entering the Salvatore Boarding House

“Yes.” Caroline stated

“Unfortunately” Damon muttered

“Kai” Y/n greeted as he entered the room

“Y/n” Kai greeted back grinning at the fact she was actually there.

Damon grimaced, disgusted at the scene before him. “Ok, enough. Lets just- get this over with.”

Kai smirked at Y/n “why in such a rush?”

“Oh no, no not gonna happen.” Damon shook his head looking between the two

“What?” Y/n asked confused by what he meant

“You. You are not gonna put moves or smile like that at her. NO.” Damon continued

Kai held his hands up in surrender “ I’m just being friendly.”

Damon scoffed “you, friendly? Yeah, I don’t think so.”

Y/n raised her hand “Do I get a say in this?”

“No” Damon turned to her before answering

“Ok then” she breathed out before sitting on the couch with the feeling like this was gonna the awhile.

“No. Not stupid. I am hungry though.” After Kai stated that they looked at him weirdly.

After Kai flashed his eyes and bared his teeth he zoomed over and drank plus killed each one he turned to help the girl. “Are you ok? Wait- Y/n?”

“Kai? What are- you do-doing here?” Y/n stuttered before giving him her hand to help her up.

“Saving you apparently” he answered taking her hand, helping her up.

Y/n started to thank him once she was on her feet “thanks. For saving me. I mean they were just messing around but if it went any further- And I was already uncomfortable-”

“I could tell. In your voice.” Kai nodded along

“Thank you” Y/n looked up at him shyly

“Your welcome.” There was a brief pause then he continued. “I could say thank you to you to. I got a meal and it wasn’t some innocent person.” he stated, hoping to get her to smile. Which worked. “There’s that smile.” Kai smiled poking her cheek. “Huh, even a little laugh. I’m up to a good start.” he laughed along with her. “Let’s get you home.”

Once Y/n and Damon entered the Salvatore Boarding House, Y/n headed straight to her room upstairs. While Damon entered the living room, getting a drink.

“Long Day?” Elena asked having witnessed the whole thing that just happened.

“Yup” he answered before taking a sip from his glass. “I’ll tell ya keeping that little weasel away from my sister is not easy.” Then he tilted his head before asking “remind me why I can’t just kill him?”

“Because sadly he’s useful.” Stefan stated entering the room and pouring his own glass sharing a look with his brother.

“That and as much as you two may hate the idea he does really like Y/n.” Caroline butted in, sitting next to Elena on the couch.

“She’s right though.” Elena said after seeing the brother’s faces. “Look I don’t like it  either, I think all of us hate it but it’s actually safer for her in this town if he does love her and is around her.”

Stefan swallowed before looking at her like she’s insane. “What?!”

“Who said anything about him loving her?!” Damon squinted his eyes, not liking what he was hearing.

Caroline sighed looking to Elena “they don’t get it”

Elena shook her head agreeing with her life long friend “they really don’t.”

“What aren’t we getting?” Damon asked confused looking towards Stefan. Who just shrugged just as clueless.

“You both aren’t getting that he’s as he puts it-” Caroline explained looking to Elena to finish after looking at the boys

“Mega powerful” Elena finished

“Yeah, and as long as he loves her he won’t let anything hurt her. So that’s less stress on you guys.” Caroline smiled pointing to the both of them

“Well, that and she practically has him whipped which is good for when we need his help.” Elena smiled, adding a bonus for all of them about the situation. But all the brothers could do was huff because even though they knew their girls were right it was still annoying.

“They’re talking about you and I.” Kai smirked looking at her in the eyes

“Of course they are.” Y/n rolled her eyes. Scooting closer to him on her bed. “When aren’t they.” she spoke softly leaning her head against his shoulder.

Kai nudged her “oh come on. You love it.”

She moved to face him again in her last sitting position. “You know what I don’t love?” she asked with a sarcastic smile sent his way

“Hmmmm?” Kai hummed

“That my brothers keep trying to keep us apart.” Y/n grumbled

“Well,I’m not gonna let them. Look where we are!” Kai gestured around to there surroundings. “Up in your room after your eldest brother dragged you home to keep you and me away from eachother. While they talk downstairs about keeping us apart.” he smiled falling on his back against her bed.

Y/n smiled “your right”

After she agreed Kai held his arms wide open and smiled before saying “Always. Now come here.”

Y/n threw a rock at the door “kinda hard when I’m locked in a cell.”

Kai gave her a mocking pouty face “ah, don’t pout. That pretty face shouldn’t be sad.”

“You flirt alot.” Y/n smiled at him through the cell window bars

Kai unlocked the cellar doorand sat down next to Y/n. “only with you. I still don’t fully understand it.”

“Undertsnad what?” she quirked an eyebrow in question

“These feelings I have towards you” he looked down at his hands in his lap

“Feelings huh?” Y/n clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. “What kind of feelings.”

“I think I’m in love with you.” Kai shrugged

Y/n smirked, “falling in love can be great or it can be dangerous.”

“Your right.” he smirked back looking her in the eyes, before jabbing a knife into her stomach.

“What the hell?!” Y/n grunted in pain

Kai shrugged “feelings are confusing

“Seriously? Come talk to me, say you love me then you stab me!” she screamed at him as he got up to leave

“I’ll bring you a blood bag later sweetcheeks” he winked before closing the door and locking it.

“Asshole!” Y/n muttered sitting up straight against the wall wincing.
