When an entire culture spends hundreds or thousands of years doing the exact same to solve a problem it’s very much almost definitely 100% because it actually fucking works. That’s why we brush our hair with combs and brushes and not sticks or some shit. Our super smart and hard working ancestors figured all that stuff out for us and then spent centuries perfecting it and understanding it. IMO Native Americans in particular were so much better at finding out the most effective solution to complex problems like removing poison from a bite or not getting killed by bison all the time which if you’ve ever seen one up close is something I really think we should be giving them more credit for cuz like they didn’t have guns like whitey did and they had to live with those giant bulldozers too. Bull moose scare me but bison scare me more.

Omg that reminds me, Prey was a really good movie and I watched it only in the Comanche dub and it was so much more immersive. This is why literacy is so important guys. If a scene is taking place in a Viking settlement in New England I don’t wanna hear them speaking English. I wanna hear whatever the fuck the closest extant language is and then read the subtitles. Also indigenous culture plus sci fi horror fucking rocks I need more.
