Axel the Desert Rose and Lumi the Snow Flower

Axel and Lumi are partners!

Axel is currently a baker in one of the shops in Splatsville, while Lumi is a freelance photographer.

The two of them work together for a secret Salmonid sanctuary/orphanage to counter the mass raid in Inkopolis.

Axel is actually selective mute! This makes it a challenge for him to communicate, even if he had learned sign language to cope.

He met Lumi in Splatsville, and he was surprised to learn that Lumi was neither deaf nor mute, but was fluent in sign language.
