Theres a conversation to be had about artist specific/artist only websites and how they keep popping up and then immediately dying. Constantly shifting platforms in search of community and a steady income is so draining. Websites are prone to betraying artists/creators for profit and the ones that don't either will in the future or seem to struggle to gain any footing. So now Im seeing this hesitation in artists to move to new platforms because of how often this seems to be happening.

I took a long time off of drawing and posting online. It feels like theres few places now for me to find an active and vocal community that isn't fandom specific.

Tumblr has been really good for finding small independent queer artists, but I feel like if you're trying to make a living off of art, it's difficult to do so here.

What websites do people use these days? I considered Twitter for talking to other artists, but it's too scary of a platform rn tbh
