it wasn't often that blamore got to venture outside of gotham, much less with someone else. and so when he stepped onto the train that would take him as well as renfield to their next destination, it almost immediately reached out for her hand. this was done in both a bit of anxiety but mostly excitement. i mean, sure, maybe they were just venturing to another state — but blamore had actually never been to california before. and they planned on going to yosemite park, which he kept on hearing was beautiful. but of course... nothing could beat how renfield looked today.

its lips melted into a smile when it laid eyes on them yet again, even if the only view blamore was currently getting of them was the back of their head. he assumed that renfield must've been eager to get on the train, as she had practically dragged him in behind her by the hand. and it was admittedly kind of cute to blamore. there did seem to be a minor hiccup as they passed by countless seats that were already taken up, though. one had revealed itself to them before long however and this made blamore immediately want to volunteer to hold renfield in its lap. but in spite of that, the other had taken up the seat before he could so much as open his mouth.

and then she was pulling it into sitting on her lap. well, if this wasn't a covert way for renfield to cuddle with him, then he was about to be disappointed; though blamore only thought this to itself playfully. it did its best to curl up against the other so it could nuzzle a head full of bountiful dark curls into the crook of her neck. which, actually, didn't turn out to be all that difficult for him to do. a hum of contentment left it as it spoke up, ❝ mm... this is nice. you really know how to make a monstre (monster) like me feel special, you know that? ❞ he closed his eyes as he felt like he could truly trust renfield.

a soft chuckle left it, ❝ i'm going to make sure i buy you everything once we reach california, because i love you. even if it is something as weird as ostrich jerky. ❞
