While watching season 7 I didn't know what people saw in Henry and Ivy/Drizella but now looking back I really like the idea of Henry falling for someone whose originally a villain with baggage instead of just ripping off his grandparents love story. Henry and Ella/Jacinda's love story was fine but there was nothing special or original about them compared to every other ship on the show before. Plus I know chemistry is subjective but it seems to be a popular opinion among fans that they didn't have a whole lot of it. Henry and Ivy/Drizella on the other hand did have chemistry even when it was supposed to come off as disingenuous and fake. And were unique in the sense that there was no love at first sight, no meet cute, no soulmates, no meant to be. Just two people who connect on a deep level. Who complement each other quite nicely with Drizella and her cynicism and Henry having the heart of a truest believer. They had a lot of potential with Henry always seeing the best in her and Drizella grounding his rose-color view of the world. Plus mix that in with angst by starting them out with her being the villain to his hero in the story. Also the Prince falling for the stepsister is within itself something fresh and innovating. But sadly they are just another wasted potential by the writers in a show filled with them.
