There'd been a party and now here Ben was, waiting for his kid to get home or at least call him and ask him for a ride. Nothing came, and when Ben called, the phone had gone straight to voicemail. Things like this were enough to drive any father into a rage, but if he went down there and flew off the handle then he'd never heard the end of it from Jaime. His mammoth father throwing around a bunch of college kids because his son hadn't picked up the phone.

"The fuck happened to your phone?" Ben called out from the washroom as he finished brushing his teeth and spat in the sink. "Hey - I'm talking to you. Get that ass in here."
