Jake Seresin Blurb - Tumblr Posts
congratulations on 2k!! big milestone in your way to becoming the mayor of the world babey! how do you feel about this population expansion under your mayoralty?
đ oink oink for jake pretty please?? just want to see babe (haha) adopt an introvert, so can be with angel or any of the bcug(irlies) or outside, iâm not particular. or just anything really, i will hog whatever you grant us!
if I become mayor of the world we should all be very frightened, but I am loving the pig puns đ I decided to do it with canon Jake because I think Angel is really the only introvert and this trope doesn't totally fit them :)
warnings: language, I don't know anything about boats, this is like 2k words is it still a blurb?
If someone had told you that khaki wearing, pool playing Jake âHangmanâ Seresin would end up becoming one of your closest friends, you would have looked at him entertaining a crowd of people, then back to the spot you hadnât left since you arrived at the Hard Deck, and told them they have a weird sense of humor. Because you and Jake couldnât have less in common if you tried. He was the loud, center of attention, flirt who never seemed to care what people thought of him. And you preferred to listen rather than talk, and only ever to people you already knew, because the thought of even one person not liking you made you want to hide under your blankets and never come out.
But a trip to a local coffee shop and a sticker from The Office on your laptop changed all of that, prompting an otherwise stranger Jake Seresin to come up and make conversation with you. Because thatâs what he does. And you began to understand why Jake is so popular because he really wasnât awful to talk to. It was the longest conversation youâve ever had with someone you didnât know and you left the coffee shop hours later with Jakeâs number and a mind reeling from what was just the beginning of one of your most meaningful friendships.
With Jake, things were easy. If he pushed you to go out somewhere, he stuck by your side for most of the event. But he was just as willing to spend a night in tooâyou learned he was very good at making oven-ready pizza, which you still didnât fully understand because, logically, it shouldnât taste any different but it does. He just understood you, and made you happy, and was dependable in a way you never expected him to be.Â
It was no surprise you fell in love with him.
And that must be the reason you find yourself surrounded by a crew of Naval Aviators as Coyote drives his boat out of the dock.
âAll aboard, motherfuckers!â
Fanboy cups his mouth with his hands calling back to the loudly cheering Coyote as the boat lurches into movement. âThatâs a train, dipshit!â
You laugh quietly from next to Jake. You still arenât totally comfortable around the Dagger Crewâat least, not all at onceâbut you do know theyâre nice, and Jake always makes it fun. Even now, you feel better knowing heâs next to you, a large hand planted on your back.
âDid you bring a swimsuit?â He asks as you get farther and farther from the dock. His own swim trunk-clad body has been distracting you and you make a point to look away as you nod.
âYeah, itâs under my clothes. Should I change?â
Phoenix overhears you and waves you over before Jake can respond, greeting you with a friendly smile as you both strip out of your clothes. You fold your t-shirt and shorts neatly, ignoring the unusual silence from the pilot who usually canât keep his mouth shut.
âThatâs a cute suit,â Phoenix compliments, though something behind you catches her eye as she lights up in a smirk. âDontcha think, Hangman?â
You cock your head at her before following her gaze to Jake, whoâs already staring at you with a pink tint to his cheeks. You look away quickly, trying to suppress the way your heart seems to skip a few beats.Â
âYeah, itâs, um,â Jake swallows. âItâs nice⊠Nice, uh, color.â
You give him a shy smile in gratitude, moving on from the moment quickly. It takes Jake only a few minutes to recover from whatever seemed to have taken over him, and then heâs right back to joking with Javy as they both argue over where to anchor the boat. You watch the interaction with a fond smile, enjoying the brotherly-like teasing.Â
Not wanting to be in the way, you converse with Phoenix quietly until Jake finishes. And even though youâve been nice enough not to bother him, as soon as he can turn his attention to you, Jake is back to his usual antics.
âJake,â you warn, giving him a cold glare as the grin on his face grew larger. âDonât you dare.â
He holds his hands up in mock surrender, stepping closer to you and you feel the railing of the boat press up against your back. âIâm not doing anything.â
âJake,â you try to bolt across the boat, so you arenât cornered, but heâs quicker than you, wrapping his arms around your middle and lifting you off the ground. âJake!â
You can feel him laughing against you, the sound echoing around your ears as he starts running towards the edge of the boat. While Jakeâs laugh usually paralyzes you for a couple minutes, the suddenly present fear of plummeting into very cold water snaps you out of it faster than usual.
âJake!â You try to climb over his shoulder, struggling against him, but all it does is make him tighten his grip. âPut me down! I swearââ
Your threat is cut short as Jake leaps over the boat and your motivation suddenly changes from trying to get away from him to clinging to him as you both submerge into the icy waves. If you werenât so cold, you would have definitely been worried about the fact that your arms are now wrapped tightly around his neck and your legs are clasped behind his back. And you would have been a lot more worried about the fact that his arms are squeezing into your hips. You remove one of your hands from him to wipe the water from your eyes.
âI hate you.â
âNo, you donât,â Jake has a goofy grin on his face, his hair plastered to his forehead. âYou love me.â
Youâre in love with Jake Seresin. You love him the way you love a sunrise. You know that every day, without fail, heâll be there, but you also know that every day, without fail, youâll find something else you love about him. Youâre willing to wake up at the crack of dawn, every day, just to watch him explode with color. And it isnât even hard.Â
You love Jake the way you love your favorite song. You close your eyes and put your headphones in. You know every word, every beat, every crescendo. You know everything about it and, yet, every time you hear it, itâs like hearing it for the first time. You do love Jake, you love him more than he could even imagine. And something about him saying it, and not knowing, is something you just couldnât bear.
You must have been staring for too long because Jakeâs mouth is opening to ask if youâre okay, but you donât give him the chance. Your lips are on his before he can even get the question out. His cologne fills your senses, the saltwater taste on his lips a lingering thought in your mind as you use your arm around his neck as leverage to deepen the kiss.Â
Jakeâs grip tightened on your legs, his hands moving from your thighs back to your hips as if unable to pick a spot to settle. It isnât until you feel his hand trace the band of your swimsuit that you catch yourself, pulling away from him suddenly. His eyes widen in surprise as you detangle yourself from him.Â
âIâm sorry, I shouldnât haveââ You pull your gaze away from his swollen lips, forcing yourself to paddle back to the boat and get as far away from Jake as humanly possible.Â
Not even bothering to dry off, you make a run for the cabin. You know youâre being a coward. Considering youâre trapped in the middle of the ocean with him, you canât just ignore him. But you also know that you arenât supposed to kiss a guy like Jake Seresin.Â
So, if you have to somehow convince Jake that he imagined the whole thing and you never kissed him in the first place, then thatâs what you have to do. You just have to figure out how the hell to do that. You dart past Javy, who gives you a strange look, and continue down the steps to the cabin.Â
Even though you know that it wouldnât actually do a thing, you convinced yourself that if you could just get into a room and lock a door, youâd be home free. You just have to get there first. The sound of feet moving above your head causes your heartbeat to quicken and you break out into a run. You can see the door of the cabin in front of you and as soon as you reach it, you let out a sigh of relief.
A wave of utter mortification hits you again as you lock the door and you physically cringe as you try to wrap your head around what you just did. You kissed Jake. And then you ran away. You let out a loud groan, scrunching your eyes as if that will rid the thought.
It doesnât
You didnât know how long you had before Jake found you, but youâre not expecting him to knock on the door as soon as he does. Your blood runs cold and you freeze as if not making a sound will somehow trick him into thinking you arenât there.Â
The doorknob rattles slightly. âI know youâre in there.â
You hold your breath, refusing to say anything as Jake tries with the door again.
âWould you just talk to me?â The movement on the doorknob stops.
Youâre at the door before you can fully realize it, but you still canât bring yourself to unlatch the lock. Sliding down the oak wood, you try to steady your breathing.
âYou canât just pretend that never happened.â Jakeâs voice is quieter on the other side of the door and it sounds like heâs also sitting against it.
You swallow thickly because that is exactly what youâre hoping to do.
âWill you open the door?â
âJake, can you please just go away?â You finally find your voice, Jake's incessant reminders making you fall deeper and deeper into a pit of embarrassment.
âWhy wonât you just talk to me?â
You can picture him now, head leaning against the door, confusion painted across his features.
âPlease?â
âIâm sorry.â
Itâs his turn to be silent, letting you take a deep breath.
âIâm sorry, I did something really stupid. I wasnâtââ
âYou think kissing me was stupid?â His voice sounds almost defeated on the other side of the door.
âIââ You bite your lip. âI donât know, I donât want to find out.â
âWell⊠I donât think it was stupid.â
Jakeâs words hit you like an anvil. You never once planned on confessing your feelings to Jakeâlet alone in this fashionâbut the potential that he also felt something for you was not something you had accounted for.
âWould you open the door already?â He tries to joke, but you can tell heâs slowly getting desperate.
You get up from the floor on wobbly legs. âYou better not be fucking with me.â
You turn the lock slowly, not having enough courage to actually open the door yourself, and after a moment Jake tries again with the knob. When it opens against his weight, he looks at you, frozen in the doorway as youâre equally still inside the cabin.
âDo you still think it was stupid?â He asks finally.
âDo you think it was stupid?â
He shakes his head, taking a step closer to you. âNo, I donât think it was stupid.â
Jake is getting closer to you now and, though youâre still frozen in place, that sinking feeling in your stomach is getting smaller.
âActually, I think it was so unstupid that I want to do it again.â
Your body processes his words before your brain does and he already has his lips on yours by the time you fully understand what heâs saying. Jake pulls you into him firmly, hands finding your hips as yours wrap loosely around his neck.
After a moment, you pull away with a small smile. âI, um, I love you.â
âI figured.â
You let out a shocked laugh at his boldness and a cheesy grin lights up his face as he dips down to your lips again.Â
âI love you too.â
48. Kisses to shut them up w jake thank u ily đ«¶đ„č
I hope you love this! My first time writing for Jake đ„°
For the first time in your four months with Jake, you werenât quite sure how to act. In a weekâs time, he was going to be deployed for three months, almost as long as you had been together, and you didnât know where you stood.
You had only told each other that you loved each other a month ago, and you believed it with everything you were, but there was a tiny part of you that was terrified that he was going to decide that what you had wasnât worth holding onto while he was away.
When Jake emerged from his bathroom in his pyjamas, you were sitting cross-legged on his bed. He joined you and cleared his throat.
âWe should talk about next week.â
Your heart sank; your worst fear was coming true.
âI donât want to break up,â you blurted out.
Jake stared at you in confusion.
âWhat?â
You shifted so that you were facing him, taking a breath to steady yourself.
âI know we havenât been together long but I really do love you, Jake, and I think we can get through you being deployed. We can talk on the phone, or I can write letters if thatâs what everyone elseâs partners do. And people send care packages, right? I can- mmph!â
His lips on yours stopped you mid-sentence and your hands shot out to stop yourself falling backwards on the bed. When he pulled away, his grin was the first thing you saw, and it was your turn to stare at him in confusion. Chuckling, he pinched your cheek gently.
âIf youâd let me get a word in edgeways, darlinâ, I was gonna suggest that you move in here while Iâm deployed,â he told you, âIt doesnât make much sense you being in your tiny apartment while this place is sitting emptyâŠand Iâd really like it if you were here when I come home.â
Your lips parted in shock; that didnât sound like a breakup. His soft smile widened into his signature grin again.
âBut please, tell me more about these care packages youâre gonna send me. Iâm thinking candy bars, maybe some sexy Polaroids-â
His grin barely faded as you cut him off with a kiss, his hands immediately finding your thighs to pull you onto his lap. He chased your lips with his own when you pulled away and you giggled, nuzzling youâre nose against his as you draped your arms around his shoulders.
âYou really want me to move in?â you asked quietly, resting your forehead against his.
He smiled, nodding and kissing you sweetly.
âI really do. I love you, sweetheart.ââ

PAIRING ! jake seresin x f!reader
IN WHICH you meet lieutenant crash, burn, and disaster or how he likes to call it "your future boyfriend"
another disappointed sigh. numerous planes lined up at your hanger for repairs, or "damage control" in maverick's words. but this has got to be the worst you've seen.Â
i mean, who in their right mind would accidentally get their plane wing completely destroyed. you didnt care who the pilot was. what they did to end up with this much damage is simply outrageous.Â
"what the fuck were you thinking! do you know how long it'll take to fix this? MONTHS. IT WILL TAKE ME MONTHS!"Â
"well in my defense i wasn't thinking. i was taught to just do," a masculine voice replied, completely unbothered.Â
you were too distracted and distraught with the damage to notice the perfect ken doll leaning against it, completely amused by the gorgeous mechanic before him.Â
"well then you might as well be careless with your life too!"Â
finally looking back to the owner of the sweet F-18, that is now almost unrecognizable. he looked infuriatingly stunning. seriously, a reckless pilot shouldn't look this good. not that you would ever admit it. he did, after all, nearly destroy his aircraft.Â
"if it's you, then id risk it all," jake grinned.Â
you scoffed, "in your dreams, lieutenant."Â
"YOU. seriously need to learn how to take care of such a ride. i wouldnt even let you near my car."Â
"fine by me darlin', can always walk ya home," the naval pilot hummed.Â
you internally groaned and rolled your eyes at his flirty persona. turning around to further inspect the almost burnt wing. jake eyed the way you delicately traced your fingers on his sweet baby.Â
"lieutenant whatever your name is, i hope i never have to see you in my hanger ever again," your sweet smile contrasting the sarcastic comment.Â
"it's jake, jake seresin."Â
"right.. well, you'll be lieutenant disaster until you've earned my respect." quickly shifting your feet towards your tools to begin repairs.Â
jake thinks he's a goner. just from your witty comebacks and cold glare, while looking insanely attractive. that's not even everything you have to offer and he'd very much like to know you. for now, he's excited to visit his pretty mechanic every week.
