I'm sick so here's my headcanons for the crew when they're sick.
Percy denies it, despite it being obvious. He hates how he is already a little babied by the crew. Heartfelt has to sternly tell him to rest as Percy will only listen to him
Janice, on the other hand, will be very vocal. For example, if she's sick but has chores she'll be like, "Can you please do it? I'm sick :(" and use it like a get out of jail free card in monopoly.
Milo will sleep, that's it
Calvery will keep going like usual, he'd have to be killed or locked up to actually stop.
Poppy will try to nurse himself only to say "fuck it" and sleep it off
Heartfelt will nurse himself and quarantine, being the only doctor on the ship. He has to nurse everyone else when he's not though.
Salty JoJo does not get sick and if he does, it's a cold at most.
Sariah tries a combination of natural remedies and actual medicine. If it's something like a stomach ache or sore throat, she'll use natural stuff, if it's the flu or something like it, she'll go to Heartfelt
I have been working for months on redesigns of the Candle Cove characters for a fan reboot thingy, some are drastically different, some are not. Anyway, here's my Poppy and Janice being close.
I can't draw braids but eh.
Also I gave Poppy grey hairs because I wanted to convey age. (Also, he's captain in my au/reboot so he's stressed-)

She already lives in the world of Candle Cove and comes from a small village, where she lives with her sister and father. She and Nathan are stowaways who the Laughingstocks offer to take home when they realise they're on the ship.
I'm glad we, as a fandom, seem to agree that Janice doesn't care for romance.
But I propose that anytime someone is like "aw, is he your boyfriend" she just either stares blankly or violently acts like she's going to throw up.

Janice is from Ohio, right? I find the idea that she's the only American on the Laughingstock because I have headcanons for everyone and they're not American.
Heartfelt is canonically German and Milo's canonically British, Poppy's Milo's brother so he's British. I have my Henric-Percy twin hc so Percy's Irish. I already said Calvery is Ukrainian and Salty JoJo is canonically Jamaican. Idk what banana king is and I don't think of Sanjay, maybe I'll say they're Australian. One of my friends said Sariah is French and German so I'm going with that.
And Janice is there, hearing accents she's never heard in her life and learning different languages, I think that would be cute. Also, Percy being Irish makes his rivalry with Milo funnier if Percy has an Irish accent.
Fuck it, if you like a certain Candle Cove character, you might like a Monster High character. I'm kinsigning you all/j

Both are the short, almost babies of the friendgroup
Both are cowardly at times and get picked on sometimes

Mean guy pirate and mean girl cat. Both are often antagonists in some way.
Strangely endearing to some, they at least make things fun
They have moments of vulnerability and genuine care

If you like Auburn, you might like Abbey
Kick. Ass. Women.
Abbey can and will fight you if you start it: Auburn has a drive to finish Red Mary after everything she's done
They like candy, regardless of what flavour or anything
I see Auburn as a little stand offish or intimidating which works perfectly
Both will analyze the hell out of you and have no filter
If you like Horace, you might like Cleo
Primadonnas who act better than everyone
Cleo has access to cursed artifacts, Horace probably does. Plus, he can curse people
Honestly? Fashionable. Horace has one of the more fashionable outfits and Cleo's outfits slap
If they love anyone, they will do anything to lift their partner up and make them happy
With friends? They're the ones to throw hands to protect them
Loves getting people to do things for them

Skintaker tries that “pspspsps” thing you do with cats to call them over on Janice and is genuinely confused as to why it doesn’t work.
Right! Projection time! Janice's family has genetic knee problems. Their knees are fucked (like mine) and cause problems for them (like me). Janice can't stand too long or sit certain ways or her knees will hurt. Melrose, however, can stand and sit decently fine but if you were touching her knee for some reason, you could feel the bones moving against eachother.
Sorry Janice, but if I have to suffer, so do you (affectionate)
