Ibnul Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

"العاصي وإن تنعم بأصناف النعم، ففي قلبه من الوحشة والذل والحسرات التي تقطع القلوب ."

"Even if the sinner enjoys the various types of blessings, there exists in his heart loneliness, disgrace, and regret which cuts through the hearts."
