I FEEL SO SOFT OML-

2:09 a.m. ❥ after one too many drinks, you gently tug boyfriend!johnny out of the crowded house and away from the party still in full swing, and he doesn’t protest, giving you a hazy smile. you links hands with him on the way back to your dormitories, and he swings your intertwined fingers, giggling a little too loudly and a little too endearingly. you glance over at him, laughing quietly along before asking, “what’s so funny, babe?”

he positively beams at you before quickly peeking down at your clasped hands. “we’re holding hands.” and then a belated gasp escapes between his lips. “and you called me babe!”

you give him an amused look. “yes, yes, we are, and yes, i did.”

“no, you don’t understand,” he whispers loudly before leaning down closer to your ear. “i have this mega huge crush on you since freshman year. and you’re holding my hand and calling me babe.”

you stifle a laugh. “well, i’m relieved to know you have a mega huge crush on me because we’ve been dating for three years.”

he gasps dramatically again, eyes growing round. “no way. does this mean i can hold your hand tomorrow? and the day after? and the day after that?”

you smile softly, squeezing his hand lightly. “yes, it means you can hold my hand tomorrow. and the day after. and the day after that. and all the days after that if you’d like to.”

he grins brightly and giddily, squeezing your hand back just as carefully, and your heart pounds a little bit faster. “i’d really like that a lot.”
