Have you guys ever wondered what sea critters your favourite pink corruption characters would be? No? Well too bad I have and now it’s everyone’s problem/j

Cube: A seahorse. Male seahorses are famous for being very loving fathers, that’s due to the fact that unlike in most other species it’s the male seahorses that take care of embryos. They’re also one of the few animals that are mostly monogamous and while they don’t mate for life they are loyal to their partners for a certain period of time before they each go do their own thing. Also they literally have three hearts :3, Cube’s a very loving and caring guy so I associate him with them. Not to mention the way seahorses use their tails as tools kinda reminds me of Cube’s powers, since y’know he can literally summon tools attached to his body. Also seahorses eat a lot-

Iris: Swordfish!! Known for their speed and agility I think the connection there is obvious. Swordfish are also solitary and unlike most fish they avoid swimming in schools, Iris can also be a pretty distant person, especially when it comes to his family. I wish I had a more in depth explanation here but honestly I just looked at these two and went “Yup, that’s a match”

Pyrare: Whale Shark. I don’t think this needs an explanation, they’re big and may look intimidating because of it but they’re actually very calm and peaceful animals. Their lifespan is also estimated to be a whopping 80-130 years and Pyrare is also really old. And in a few cultures they’re also associated with a sort of mentor/parent like role, for example being called “grandma’s shark” or the ancestor of all sharks

Lythrorus: Coral, now before anyone says anything, yes it’s an animal. Not a plant. Anyway since Lythorus is a flower I thought a plant like animal would only be fitting. Corals live together in huge colonies to form coral reef which kind of reminds me of how the flowers stick together in close knit communities as well. Corals are also famous for providing protection and a home for many other animals which i associated with Lythorus since he’s kinda like a leader for the other flowers, especially as Lycanthropy.

I have work to do so that’s all for now but I might think of some more later

Okay pink corruption fandom, I need your help

I’m struggling to find pink corruption fanfics to read, so y’know if any of you happen to have some that you’ve recently read somewhere or maybe even wrote yourself I’d be very very thankful for a link :3

I’m absolutely not picky about the genre, ships, aus honestly at this point I’m willing to Google translate non-English fanfics and trying to see how well that works

Random TPC head cannons once again!!

▲ Dub has written songs for Barracuda, he still plays them on his guitar sometimes

▲ Iris and Circusic loved to shit-talk and gossip about people at the palace when they were younger, like 50% of it was about Iris’ father

▲ Every time someone makes a big deal about Pyrare being a monster Gold gets offended on his behalf, Pyrare has tried to explain to him that he really doesn’t mind and that it’s understandable but Gold still does it anyway. He had one sided beef with Cube for a while

▲Cube once punched a hole into Lythorus’ wall on accident, he’s apologised for it like 100 times now and Lythorus really doesn’t mind but still likes to bring it up because he finds it funny

▲Pyrare had actually been married before. He and Barracuda’s mother got married because of their families putting pressure onto them and whatnot, by the time they had Barracuda they both knew they weren’t in love (romantically) so they ended up splitting so they could both do their own thing. They ended the relationship on really good terms however so they still send each other letters and occasionally visit the other

▲Barracuda never saw Pyrare’s ex-wife as his mom, more like a cool aunt

▲After Barracuda’s death Pyrare closed himself off from pretty much all of his old friends, that’s why Ajacenus was so surprised to see him

▲Ajacenus and Pyrare were pretty close at one point, she was originally a friend of his ex-wife but they ended up becoming very good friends as well. Pyrare often wrote her letters

▲Pyrare really doesn’t like using his powers. Even Pentellow and Iris have only seen him use his powers once. It happened after he finally got tired of Pentellow constantly asking and nagging him about it, and dear god did that take an obnoxious amount of time

So you guys know how those soul/core/??? triangles light up when Pentellow and Iris are together sometimes (like in the kiss scene and I think it was also in one of the shorts as well?)

I was just thinking that it would be so funny if it happened to someone before confessing their feelings. Like- imagine chilling and cuddling with your homie and then the triangles light up. What do y’all do now? Your “will-they-won’t-they” situation gets so bad your own fucking core-triangle thing decides to put you guys out of your misery.

She’s Pyrare’s ex-wife and Barracuda’s mom

Pearl and Pyrare got together mostly due to the pressure both of their families put on them to get married and settle down. Neither of them really felt any romantic attraction to the other but they do love each other dearly.

Personality wise Pearl comes off as pretty aloof and quiet at first, she’s a very excitable and curious person deep down though. She’s just kinda hard to read.

Other than being Pyrare’s ex-wife she’s also a good friend of Ajacenus, it was actually through her that she first met Pyrare.

Okie so here’s a very unorganised rant about my pink corruption oc Pearl! :3

(@astronic-fr sorry for the ping but I saw you ask about her in the tags of my previous post so yeah-)

I briefly went over her personality before but I’ll go into some more depth.

Pearl’s an introvert, she’s not that good at reading the room or socialising so she tends to just stick to herself most of the time. However once she does get emotionally attached to someone she’s a very loving and loyal person, does she disappear into the woods for a few weeks? Yeah, but Pearl will always come back to you. (If anyone here knows the Moomins she’s kinda like Snuffkin in that regard)

Pearl’s also a very adventurous and easily excitable person, she likes travelling around paradise and seeing new places. (Barracuda ended up inheriting this endless curiosity- for better or worse) She’s easily distracted by things around her and so conversations with Pearl are doomed to trail way off topic.

Now as for her lore with Pyrare:

Pearl and Pyrare met through a mutual friendship with Ajacenus.

The two of them ended up becoming close friends themselves. They’re both more on the quieter side and Pyrare didn’t mind her occasional eccentricity. Pearl was always fond of his kind-hearted and patient nature.

As Pearl got older her family started putting pressure on her to settle down with someone (partially since they believed it would get her head out of the clouds), she never really liked the idea of marriage and starting a family but it didn’t really seem like she could do much else with her life.

So, since Pyrare was one of her dearest friends Pearl thought I’d be only logical for the two of them to get married.

Pyrare himself wasn’t against the idea, he did want to start a family even if his relationship with Pearl didn’t feel quite like how others had described romance.

And so they got married.

It took both of them a good few years to slowly realise neither of them were really romantically interested in one another, for a while they still tried to make it work but in the end they both wanted very different futures.

Pyrare always craved stability and peace, he wanted to start a family and spend the rest of his life in a small comfortable house.

Meanwhile Pearl finds the idea of settling down and staying there agonising. Not to mention the thought of being responsible for a child terrified her.

So they eventually came to a compromise of sorts, they had Barracuda but split up right after. Barracuda stayed under Pyrare’s care, and once he got the hang of being a parent Pearl left. The two of them stayed in contact and Pearl still visited them frequently, being a sort of “cool aunt” figure for Barracuda.

Now, during the events of the first corruption and Barracuda’s death Pearl wasn’t nearby. So she only learnt of the whole incident after it had all already happened from Pyrare when she came back.

Pearl was devastated, even if she hadn’t been a mother to Barracuda for most of his life he was still her baby. She still loved him dearly. In her initial shock and grief Pearl said a lot of things to Pyrare she didn’t really mean, he didn’t take that well.

After Cuda’s death Pyrare isolated himself from pretty much everyone other than Gold (whose existence Pearl didn’t even know about, Pyrare didn’t intentionally hide him but Pearl snapped way before he could begin explaining the caretaker ordeal to her), Pearl herself went into mourning for a few years but unlike Pyrare she soon was back in touch with her loved ones.

Pyrare practically disappearing worried those who knew him. Particularly Ajacenus, even when Pearl still didn’t want to talk to him Ajacenus tried to reach out to him several times. After a while even Pearl grew concerned, but despite the many letters she sent to Pyrare over the course of several years she never got a response.

And so life had to move on.

Pearl has managed to somewhat cope with the whole ordeal but she still blames herself for both lashing out at Pyrare at a time he needed support the most and a part of her also blames herself for Barracuda’s death, maybe if she had been more present in his life she could’ve prevented it somehow…

Also some random lighthearted fun facts so I don’t end this on a depressing mood:

•Pearl has tried to learn how to knit before and despises it with her entire soul, she likes watching Pyrare knit though

•She has a lot of random acquaintances all over paradise

•Both her and Pyrare love physical affection

•When they were younger she used to constantly drag Pyrare out to go on silly adventures or to go exploring with her

•She lived with Ajacenus and her sisters for a short while after Cuda’s death

Random pink corruption headcannon:

Pentellow has tried to teach herself magic tricks before but she’s god awful at them.

Pentellow, pulling out an UNO wild card: “Is this your card?”

Cube: “No?? How did that even get into a deck of poker cards-“

Pentellow pulls out another card: “Aha, was this your card?”

Cube: “Is that a tarot card? Pentellow, seriously, what kind of-“

Pentellow: “Oh would you look at that the wheel of fortune, yeesh I’m pretty sure it means you’ll have bad luck if it’s upside down like this”

Cube: “…”

Pyrare is really good at history, english and literature

Iris would also be good at history (he definitely had to learn some as a prince) and geography as well

Cube gives me STEM energy for no reason, I can see him being good at biology and probably music as well

And Pentellow’s good at gym 👍 But also I can see her being really good at math for some reason, but in like an intuitive way if you guys get what I mean? She doesn’t remember any of the formulas but if you give her a math equation she can solve it scarily quickly. She’s ass at geometry though.

(Actually I have a math teacher like that at my school, she’s super extroverted, sporty and chaotic but she’s really good at math)
